So now that Ratatouille has stopped the BGs. How's it going with rope drop? Those coming in from the IG have any advantage?

I was debating rope dropping it or coming back later in the day.

Of course IG has an advantage, they release both the front and IG at the same time. I would guess the last person at IG beats the first person from the front in terms of Remy.

It's fair - front has always had a monopoly on Test Track.
Thanks, I didn't know they would release them both at same time. We've stayed at the BW resorts alot and our experience has been they would bring the IG guests close to the attraction and then release from there. For example, at Soarin, they brought us up to where that little path meets figment area. Held us there until front of the park guests came pouring in, then the IG guests rope was dropped. So I didn't know if the front of park guests were staged just outside of Remy and would therefore not give much advantage to IG guests.

Just trying to decide if it's a battle we're willing to fight or if we're going to wait 45min to an hour anyway maybe we just do it later in the day.

In November, they dropped the early entry rope at IG at 9:25 am, and we were able to go straight to Frozen.

That was before Remy had standby and early entry. Like you, we are now trying to decide if we want to do Remy first on next trip.

The one day we made early entry...Remy was down. At least we had a DAS time for it so we were able to just head on once we were ready after it came up again.

Reading reports from people staying in Boardwalk area and arriving for early entry through International Gateway - they are pretty much walking straight on to Remy!

Sounds the like perk works over there. :)
Looking forward to that on our next trip. Finally, a benefit entering through IG.
The front always was better for TT and Soarin. Frozen was about equal.

I went through IG around 9:40a on Saturday and walked over to Ratatouille. Standby was posted at 40 min. Since the rest of my party was coming through the main gate I decided to wait for them. They showed up right around 9:55a. Wait was now posted as 70 min and the end of the line was out under Aurora's gazebo. Within a few minutes the 10a crowd showed up and by the time we made it to the wait time sign it read 90 min and the line was at least out to the bridge. That being said our total wait was 54 minutes.

This was my first trip back to the park since Oct, 2019 and got to hit 2 of the 3 new rides (Ratatouille and MMRR). I was in the line for ROTR with a posted wait of 70 minutes but it was getting really close my drop dead time to grab a Lyft back to the airport to catch a flight and didn't want that stress so I bailed and did MMRR (posted 40, maybe 10 min wait), TOT (walk on), RNRC Single Rider (walk on) then back to the airport (8:30 Lyft pickup at DHS).

If you’re staying at a resort that qualifies for the extra evening hours, Remy’s and Frozen have very little wait times. We did Frozen first and then Remy’s. Waits for both were under 15 minutes. They were even shorter after we finished the rides, as there was no queue at the entrance or outside.

Remy is a great ride to rope drop. Most guests at the main entrance go to Test Track or Frozen. The only people you really compete with are those on Skyliner resorts.

At what time does one need to line up for 930 Early entry at IG to minimize wait on Remy?
We have Ale and Compass buffet breakfast at 8 on Saturday 2/26, crowd cal of 7 - the lowest of all parks for princess marathon weekend.

I was assuming we would be departing for the line by 9 - will we be “too late” getting into the EE line and be waiting 45-60 minutes by that point?

If you hope to be at the front of the pack at the IG, you should be queued up an hour prior to early opening. If you saunter over half an hour before, in our experience, you will be deep into the pack with the Skyliner folks.

So if park opens at 10, be at IG by around 8?

Yes, that's def a better option. But we're doing a short stay and won't be there over a Monday (when EP has the evening extra hours). I will also mention that on our trip in December we were excited to ride Remy during the after hours, but it went down about an hour before park closed and never came back up :(
