Raspberries and Kudos (Trip report long)

Thanks for the TR. I like VWL when I'm focused on the MK. But I like all the other's too. It's nice to have a choice. Have a great time at DL too. I wish I were going to either soon, but I'm living through everyone else.

Have gotten the "call" so many times on check out day that now, I take the phone off the hook before going to bed. I always put the "Do Not Disturb" sign out also, but I have had them knock at around 9 to "ask" if I need anything. Last week at Hilton Head, there was not a sign to hang out, so I made one and stuck it in the key slot and also took the phone off the hook. When my plane is not leaving until late afternoon, I sure don't want to have to leave before 11 a.m.

ITA! If it was housekeeping calling, then I am highly disappointed they HUNG UP before even talking to me. I consider that very rude!

I have the room until 11:00 and I think I have the right NOT to be disturbed before then!

Thanks for a very interesting trip report.

I bet the person who called you at 8:30 and hung up did not miscall. I bet it was housekeeping seeing if you were still in the room. I have heard of this happening quite often, always on check out day, and have even had it happen to me once.

We've had it happen many times in the past. Now we hang the do not disturb sign on the door the night before and have not had a call since. Out of courtesy to housekeeping and to guests checking in, so they can get their rooms early, we always call housekeeping on our way out the door to let them know the room is theirs. Even at 6am.
