My kids are Scandinavian. Water rinses off lotion. Rash guards do not rinse.
Hi all! We don't typically buy rashguards or SPF shirts for DD. Is there a specific reason we'd want one on a cruise? (For reference, we sail from Galveston in December.)

Especially on beach areas, like CC, the reflection from the water adds intensity to the amount of sun you're getting. Sunscreen works, but the rash guard provides even more protection.

The sun can burn and cause damage even in December. If you'll be snorkeling anywhere, it saves the worry of if you've been out long enough to need to reapply while you're still in the water. Face mask problems and a longer than anticipated time snorkeling got my son his very first sunburn. Got dh, too, and he rarely burns.
They have them at castaway cay. I have bought one- very cute.So now that it is fall, none of the stores carry bathingsuits/rash guards. I was going to order some online for my boys, but then I thought they might sell a special "disney cruise" rash guard on the ship. Any chance of this?
Athleta.com has some great rash guards. I have used the Pacifica UPF tops for years and LOVE them... and they have some on sale now![]()
