Rapid Rewards..How does it work?

I just signed up for the Rapid Rewards via Southwest. I previously purchased flights before signing up for RR. Will I still be able to get the points for those flights?

I am also wondering how this all works. Can I earn points when I am redeeming points?

Can anyone give me more info on how this all works.

Either call or use the website to add your Rapid Rewards number to your current purchased itineraries. You should get the points for those flights after they happen.
