Now that DCL has updated their policy re:COVID testing, we are a family of 7 that will require rapid antigen tests 1-2 days pre board. We will be staying at Treehouse villas on the Fri and Sat pre Sun cruise. Does anyone know of a reliable cost effective place to get the testing???
Don’t get me started on why DCL is requiring all fully vaccinated to pay for their own tests but will provide them free to unvaccinated at the port???
For what it’s worth, unvaccinated guests have to pay for the PCR test, which is much more expensive. Now that DCL has updated their policy re:COVID testing, we are a family of 7 that will require rapid antigen tests 1-2 days pre board. Please let me know how the On-point works, we sail early NovemberHave you considered doing your test in your room through a proctor service like On-point. You use a store bought test (or the free ones from the USG) and pay per person to do the proctoring. On-point cost $16.99 per person. Plus you supply the test.
also, while unvaxed people get tested at the port free, they do have to test 3 days before the cruise at their own expense and it has to be a PCR test or similar, not antigen test. Then retested at the port with an antigen test. So that group will probably be one of the safest groups on the ship.
we Cruise in 2 weeks, so will be trying the on-point proctor testing.
I will. We’re also on a November cruise on November 6th Fantasy. Are we on the same one? (We’re also on the 8 night before it). We’re doing a b2b.Please let me know how the On-point works, we sail early November
We are on the same cruise! Thanks so much for the tip. We went ahead and booked through On Point, very reasonable price and will be great to do in our room. Unfortunately my 3 year old granddaughter has had to be tested so often in the past year for day care and where we live they only do nasopharyngeal and she is now petrified.I will. By a test kit and her her do it at home by herself for fun. She’ll learn those other tests are like picking your nose. That’s is what our schools did for nervous kids.
