I am really annoyed.
I go on main street a lot. so yesturday I was hanging out with people and having a total rotfl time, when this big girl fight breaks out.
This guest(girl) walks in, and something happens, I didn't see, but three girls started shouting abuse at her (nothing like rude, but really hurtful things)
some of the highlights were:
something like :"your mummy is sad she had you"
"its not halloween yet take off the mask"
and other gems.
then there was this boy over near all the girls and the guest was asking for friend request, then the girls got furious with cries of
"go away stocker!"
and
"he doesnt socialize with a lower class"
I, and three other vmk-ers defended the guest,
and my try to defend her was greeted with:
"not you again dude"
ugg this is annoying. I told the guest to leave it and ignore before she was banned.
I reported the girls and guess what-
I got the "use the ignore button" message.
is it not a serious thing when someone says "he doesnt socialize with a lower class"?

I hate when stuff like that happens in vmk it makes me sad. If i were you i would write a letter through contact us and explain to staff what happened

It is a shame, it all comes down to the whole taken not taken thing if you ask me. Both boys and girls are guilty of it and it causes many nasty confrontations. I have seen countless times a person asking for a friend request or a simple question and someone jumping on them about he/she's mine etc. Some players forget the purpose of VMK. I think a lot of players use it as a sort of chat room/dating site. Just makes me sad to see some ruin it for a newer member. Hopefully that guest was able to see that it was just a few bad apples, and that VMK can be a very fun rewarding game.

Just to let you know - everyone that reports something like that gets that same message about the ignore button. It is a general response. I do believe that these issues are looked into when reported. So don't think that nothing will happen. You just won't know if it does

karma doesnt actually have a physical power.. i try to ignore it, it doesnt work at all. idk what to do then it does get really annoying.

Something similar happened in the Golden Horseshoe Mercantile yesterday. I came in and this boy was trash-talking this (female) guest, of course I felt the need to intervene and I came to her rescue. When the boy left I told her how to report someone, or click ignore on someone who is bothering her.

But it gets worse, while I was telling her all this a girl in a pink princess dress comes up and tells us both to, Quote: shut the he'll up!. She kept telling the guest that she was ugly and walking up to her and telling her to go away. I said to her: Do you mind? We're trying to have a smart person conversation here, little girl. She persisted so I eventually just reported her and told the guest to follow me, and we left the shop.

Its kind of sad that people take advantage of not seeing each other face-to-face and think they can do anything, or treat people any way they want to. Its also sad that people have to make fun of others and be mean just to make themselves feel better.

k, well here's my explanation. like that little flick in my old siggy, you wouldn't go up to someone in real life and say this! (at least i hope you wouldn't) but no one can see who you really are in vmk, you can't really get physically hurt, so no onereally cares about being nice. they probably figure that the worst thing that can happen to them is that they get banned, but they won't get into any trouble that will affect your real life. that's no reason to be mean, but it's just my 2 cents................

That happened to me too.I went into the Sci-Fi dine in and a guest was trash talking this guy, saying stuff like "Shut up" and "go away <removed>" and the worst was "<removed>"( and she said it twice!) I kept telling her to stop saying that or I was gonna report,but she would not stop.So I reported her and guess what? it kept saying
"Some words in this message we do not consider suitable,please edit it".Oh boy
