Rant: Screws!

Screw are evil. They split wood. They stab feet. They also dont mount well. When you get them mounted your ladder doesnt reach quite high enough. so the shelf falls down, hits you in the head and all the screws fall out. Whats a woman to do? Where'd I put the gorrlia glue?

I totally agree! Which is why many projects have been abandoned in my home, AND I still have shelves that have to be hung!

I truly used to feel anything could be fixed with a hammer, pliers and a roll of duct tape.

Then I had to use a screw. I've since added wood glue to that list.


If you pre-drill the hole, which to me means bang nail into the wall to make the hole, then put the screw in, it works.
