I can’t believe it, I already told this guy I’d had enough of doing work for him because everything he does goes wrong. Then he begged me to continue with some stuff for him so I agreed.

This week he needed materials for an important meeting for about 30 people. I told him I was busy ALL day/night the day before, so I’d give him the stuff two days in advance. So 2 days before, I emailed him the stuff for approval, then printed it and delivered it around to him later.

Then the night before his meeting (I’m gone all day until midnight) he calls my house and when my DH tells him I won’t be home until late, he tells DH that I didn’t leave important stuff over to him, and without it there’s no point in having his big meeting the next day!!!

Then he found the stuff in the big fat envelope I’d left with him earlier, duh!, and did he call my house? No, he left a message on my cellphone! So whereas DH was pretty sure I hadn’t messed up, it wasn’t until very late that night that I was able to confirm to him that I had in fact done all that I had to do exactly as I was supposed to do it!

I think it's a rotten thing to do, no matter what, to say to someone's spouse that their partner has screwed up, but I can tell you one thing, if ever I decide to do anything for this guy again, he won’t be calling my house!

:confused3 why do people jump to conclusions without checking things out first???

yuck..i had a client like that who used to call our office all the time...we never messed up anything, but he'd sure gripe to the boss, but after he found it he'd call us, not our boss to admit it was his blunder
