Randy isn't available!! Who has used Disney Photography for an Intimate???

HELP!!!!
For those of you who have responded to my frantic posts thank you!!! I've recently changed from a Wishes to an Escape and, in the process, had to change my date.....and I just received word from Randy that he isn't available on my new date!!!! Crap!
Here's the question: Who has used Disney Photography for their Intimate??? Could you tell me if you liked them? Also, what exactly is included in the package? I know the 20 prints in an album, but are they 4x6 or 5x7 or what? And do you pick the 20 prints? What if you want more than 20? How much extra is it to order additional prints? Can you get a CD with your photos like Randy does for extra $$?? etc. etc. etc.
I'm also open to other photographer suggestions......
I don't really need a million pictures (but I'd like more than 20!), I just know that Randy was so great and reasonable so it would be worth it to hire an outside person.....I may just bite the bullet and go with what comes with the package since he's not available!!!

I'm not sure about your Disney photography questions, but there are a couple other outside photographers if you need a lot of pics. Check out Taz photography and Misty Moto. I've seen them mentioned here before.

I am using Taz. He is great. Very reasonable. And so nice to work with. He has called to check up on the plans. Is very open to new and creative ideas. If you can't have Randy I would look into him.

I am using Randy, but I did check into the Disney pricing. Reprints were listed at : 4X5 for $12, 4X6 for $13, 5X7 for $20, and 8X10 for $30. I can't wait after all the wonderful reviews he has gotten here ! Good luck !

Also think about Karla Fountain. She takes gorgeous photos. A little more expensive but worth it!

I used Disney and was very happy with the photos that were taken and with what I received. Keep in mind that my wedding was in 2005 and some of the package details have changed a bit.

I haven't heard many brides (if any) complain about the quality of the pics they got. I remember one bride who wasn't happy with the style of the pics and the best way to ensure that you get something you like is to have a list of specific poses/pics you want. Show them samples of some poses you like and I'm sure they will do what they can!

My wedding was very simple and it was just DH and me...so there were only about 70 pictures. But considering our whole "event" lasted just over an hour, that's about a pic a minute so I don't think that's bad. I have heard of other brides who have used Disney who had a lot more pics from their intimate wedding.

The best piece of advice I can give is to pre-order the proofs. It costs about $225 (that's what I paid in 2005) and you will get a 4x5 print of every picture they take EXCEPT the ones they put in the album. These are regular prints of the pictures (they don't have "PROOF" written across them).

The album is gorgeous! It used to be that Disney picked the pictures that went in them, but I think you get to choose them now. It's a beautiful white leather album that says "Disney Fairy Tale Wedding" on the front in gold. If they are still the same, it's a "tri-fold" thing about 12"x12".

You get a CD with small digital copies of all your photos. But these really don't allow you to print anything bigger than maybe a 2"x3". It's good for webpages and that's about it.

I didn't order any prints because they were expensive. I was on a tight budget and have been happy with the proofs and the album.

You can purchase the CD/DVD of your pics. Disney charges $1000 if you buy it immediately after your wedding. You can purchase the CD/DVD for $99 three years after your wedding. It's a pain to wait...but it's definitely cheaper that way!

i used disney photography too in 2005. i upgraded to the minnie package (i think it was about $525) and got a 40 print album (they took about 170 photos in an hour and a bit) about 7x5, the album itself is gorgeous. the link to my photos is in my siggie. like denise said, feel free to pm me if you have questions.

I had Misty Miotto as my 2nd choice if Randy wasn't available - she's around the same price / similar package and her website has some lovely photo's on it.

Just checked her site and the prices look comparable to Randy....I plan on giving a call this afternoon to see if they are available and also to check the price b/c the package I need mentions something about Mon-Thur., and naturally, my wedding is on a Friday!!!

Thanks to all of you who took the time to share your Disney Photography experiences and offer other photographers for me to consider!
I have no doubt that Disney will deliver excellent quality and beautiful photos, but I don't think I can afford to make as many prints as I'd like and $1000 seems a bit steep for the Hi Res CD (or DVD, or whatever it is that gives you ownership of your photos) when someone like Randy includes that as part of his package - the entire package that costs half that!!!!!

I didnt use her for my weddding, i had my engagement pictures done with her. But still they are at the GF and i think that they turned out beautifully! You can check them out on her website under preview, then Ruby Engagement. If you need a password it ruby. Hope this gives you some ideas! Misty was wonderful, she was very friendly and fun to work with. You are going to love working with her.
