Randy Chapman Photography!

Hello! I got married in Nov of '06 and used Randy Chapman for our wedding and engagement pictures and loved him! I used to frequent this board quite often and wanted to share this experience.

In early March we had a Magical Gathering with my husnands family, which included myself, my husband, my mother and father inlaw, my brother and sister in law and their 2 children 8 and 4, both can be a HAND full esp the younger one and he did not dissapoint that morning, running, screaming. I was really dying. I had warned Randy in advance, but he was so patient and we just got the pictures today and they were absolutely amazing!

The children were so bad that I think once the shoot was over, everyone thought there was no way we could have gotten a good one of all of us. I sent him and email telling him he was a Wizard! Seriously! He was patient and he shoots so quickly he is able to capture all the moments, small sweet touching moments of a grandson kissing his grandfather, just precious! I just wanted you all to know that Randy is awesome in fact they are so good (except my butt has gotten bigger lol, he could not change that) I am going to book more pics for our October trip for my husband and myself!

I had heard Randy was doing family gatherings/vacations/couples/etc and i think its awesome!!!!!! I've been thinking about having him to take some pics on our anniversary while we're at Disney....hes awesome and has great prices.

I can second Randy. He photographed our wedding December 2004. We were suppose to be going December this year for our fifth anniversary and having a shoot with Randy but we couldn't make it, so we went out in January instead. We managed to book Randy for a shoot and the photos are fantastic. Can't wait to have more pictures when we add a baby to our family.

Randy is a fantastic photographer!!

I would rather fly to FL to have family pics done just to have Randy do them, esp after this experience. Seriously, my nephew was awful, I love that child, but terrible twos...frightening four (LOL) I mean I have no idea how Randy did it. I mean the child would just run out of the picture and then the other one started doing odd hand gestures. It was a mess, but just wanted to sing his praises because he deserves it!

I agree with Allison, Randy is wonderful. He shot our wedding May 08. We had a blast with him, there are so many shots of us laughing having fun its great.

I too would fly to FL and have Randy shoot our family photos.

I had Randy for my wedding as well and I really liked him. There are some shots I didn't think to ask for at the time and would love to have some nice professional pictures of DH and I. Were you able to find the prices for family shoots on his website? I tried looking and couldn't find anything, although I don't know the password for the "Information" page so maybe it's on there?

His rate for the Family shoot is $250 and he spent an hour with us. He probably took 500 pictures, compare that to the Photopass and it is so much better. Yes you are paying a bit more, but the quality, at least in my experience is SO MUCH BETTER (and you are not really paying that much more)!

And you still get the cd with the rights to his pics.

I loved having Randy shoot our wedding. I like the idea of having another shoot with him, maybe I'll do it in September.

Wow, Allison that is a great price. And you are getting way more with Randy. Thanks for sharing. I had though of the photo pass for our May trip, but didn't, just because we weren't going to have much time. But knowing this, I would book randy over photo pass any day. I wonder if he could shoot in the parks at night, when guest are there? That would be cool. Im sure you have to get him a ticket, but it be worth it.

Janell, I am not sure, but I bet not...Disney has started really clamping down on not even allowing them to shoot weddings in the parks now. But I am not sure, you could ask him!

When will you be there in May? We will be there too, which is the reason I am asking.

I should add that my experience with photopass was horrible. We got 1 decent pic out of all of them, one of the 2 of us was blinking and since they only took 1 shot of each pose, it was really bad. I was ticked because it was not like it was a film camera, she could see that. Plus, they told me to be there 15 min ahead of time, which I killed myself to be there on time and then they were running 15 min late, so I sat there for 30 min! UGH....glad it was free or did I pay 25, well needless to say would never do it again! And it was 25 on top of the photopass cd so really it would have been 150.

We just met with Randy and we really liked him and his work. If you cannot make it to Disney before your wedding, be confident in booking him.
