Any one use Randy have any opinions?? It will be an intimate wedding at the WL. The package quote I got was 575. Is that better than what disney charges alone. DO I have to use DPS since its only an intimate??? Would I be crazy if I wanted both photographers since the styles are pretty different from what I hear??? Both packages have diffrent elements so it wouldn't be exactly the same thing. Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm bumping this up for you.
I was looking at randy - I emailed him for his prices, and then I just received a mailshot from him - not bad since I'm in the UK!

A lot of people on this board swear by him - although I'm thinking of sticking with DPS as my brother's gonna take a load of shots for us too. I was worried about the 12 only shots in teh package and how much the proofs would be - but appearently us UK brides get a free high res CD with all the photos on - so we can just print them ourselves back home.

There are quite a few threads here about photography. Try a search on randy.

Oh yeah - a few people have said it's one photographer or the other - can't have both - although you can trade in your DPS for a honeymoon session instead...

It is not set in store that you will be able to trade in your DPS package for a honeymoon photoshoot. With that being said, I have seen many wedding photos that Randy did and they are wonderful! However, Don't let only getting 12 pictures from DPS scare you. You may purchase all your proofs from DPS for $225 (at least that was the price in 2004, it may have gone up). After that, you have to pay for any enlargements or reprints and the cost for that seems pretty comparable to what other photographers rate would be. I guess it all depends on what you want out of your photography. Do you want a ton of pictures? Do you want to save money? Do you want the photographer to be there to get getting ready shots of you in your room?
You can always add extra hours on to your DPS package if you want them to start earlier or stay much later. My only suggestion to you if you choose to go with DPS is to be specific in the shots that you want. I didn't do this, and I felt that the photographer missed a lot of things I would have wanted pictures of. Good luck with your decision.

RANDY, RANDY, RANDY!!! i can not emphasize enough how much i love Randy. we used him as our photographer for our wedding and he is just wonderful. the pictures are absolutely stunning. he's very flexible, he doesn't miss a single moment of the wedding and reception and he's a gentleman. visit his website at www.chapmanphotography.com and you'll see some of his work.

Last word I heard was that Disney will not allow you to have two photographers, so keep in mind that if you do choose Randy, you cannot also have DPS there photographing at the same time. I would speak to your SM/EM to determine what substitute packages (there are some, but not the MK session), are available and if they suit your needs.

I decided to book Randy as he was available .... I will have to talk to the wedding planner and find out what I can use in its place.. I just liked randys package better and heard great things about him. Thanks for all your help.

you made the right decision there skylarr. you will not regret it. randy is so wonderful period and his work is phenomenal.
