What brand and/or style of jeans is your go to?

Since I can remember I've always been in between sizes for pants and I'm STILL looking for the perfect jean.
I like jeans that end at my belly button and are "sturdy".
But it seems like I can only find one or the other lol.
My current go to is Levi's classic bootcut which is mid rise and they are comfy but stretch out and start falling down.
I even sized down one size and they still do it. It seems ridiculous to have to size down 2 sizes just to make them still fit when they stretch out throughout the day.
I'm considering trying the Levi's 501 original fit straight leg but I'm worried they will end up too high waisted on me.
Unfortunately there is not a store near me and the department store Levi's 501 Original Fit are NOT the same as the actual ones from the Levi's store.

So got me to thinking what's everyone else's go to jeans?
Have you found YOUR jeans or are you still on the hunt?

This is really funny. I'm closer to 50 than I'd like to admit and yes I wear Levi's mid-rise bootcuts. And yes, they are too stretchy, so I go down a size and end up wearing a belt to keep them up. I also am cursed with snake hips, so I've always had trouble with jeans sliding down. Apparently all the jeans manufacturers add more stretch and synthetics these days so jeans are cheaper to produce and more flexibility with sizing.

Anyway, I wore Levi's mid-rise bootcuts back in college 30 years ago and they are my go to. I did a detour with Calvin Klein skinny jeans in the late 00's/early 10's, but I'm back to what works best for me.

I don't have a specific brand I'm loyal to, but I do sometimes sew an extra button onto my jeans next to the regular one, so I can make them a smidge tighter or looser easily.

Have you ever tried Ariat? They are not cheap but they are well made and are made to last. They have many options for leg openings and rises so you can pretty much get what you want. You might have an Ariat store or Boot Barn nearby you so you can try sizes in person before ordering. I love my Ariat jeans and they look great, IMO.

My go to for myself are Kut from the Kloth, Judy Blue, and Democracy. I love Democracy because they come in short lengths, and I am very much vertically challenged :) For JB, I buy ankle length.

My daughter is 14 and super tiny and we have always had to use adjustable waist for her in jeans. Now we keep trying to make the transition from kids to Juniors/Misses (primarily because of style and maturity) - She was astonished that adult sizes no longer had the waist adjustments inside - I think she is on to something in that it would be helpful sometimes to have them as adults too!

Lee Riders, mid-rise, relaxed fit, straight cut -- I've worn these for years.

These. ⬆️ I've also worn them for years. I also get the stretch jeans variety. Lee Jeans were always the ones that advertised no gapping at the back of the waist for women. They are cut to actually fit a woman's derriere and curve back in at the waist. They are also less likely to slide halfway down your hips because of that.

I get mine from Kohls when on sale.

I really like the fit of Buckle Black jeans. They are comfortable all day and don't sag/stretch out. The only issue with them (for me) is they often have fading, etc., for style and I prefer jeans without any distressing. I did find one pair that has a little fading but is otherwise a style I like.

Talbots petite curvy straight leg works for me. I have them in black, white and "dark wash" in a couple of lengths. Unfortunately, their dark wash comes with fading down the front of the thigh that is not a good look. But the others are nice.

Lee Riders, mid-rise, relaxed fit, straight cut -- I've worn these for years. I've also tried Just My Size which weren't too bad, either.

I love those for comfort. I especially like the "bewitched" color.
What I don't like is just how loose they can look. I tried to size down one but they didn't fit my waist and still seemed just as loose around the thigh.
But yeah those are my go to at home jeans :)

If it fits I wear it....don't care about the brand. I have in recent years liked JC Penny jeans and Lee's,

Listen same here I don't care what brand it is as long as it fits and feels good.
I do have the St John's Bay corduroys and love them. Bought the exact same style in a jeans version and they don't fit at all. Drives me nuts!
Reason I'm considering the Levi's 501 is not really brand related but more that they seem like jeans that will last since they are generally 99-100% heavy weight cotton.

Try the regular fit or slim fit if the relaxed fit is too loose for you.
