Random View Question - RE: Saratoga Springs & Old Key West

Hi Everyone!

I have a random question about OKW & SSR. One of the things I like best about our WDW trips is the total escape from the real world. I definitely can see the benefits of staying and/or going off property but for me I really enjoy escaping from the "real world" completely.

Anyways, this leads me to my question. We are deciding where to stay for our upcoming trip and I was wondering when you are at SSR or OKW can you see outside WDW (I'm thinking that you might be able to see other hotels and Orlando buildings from there?).

I think I can remember being able to see hotel row from SSR (which is still on Disney property). I don't have any memory of being able to see non-Disney buildings from OKW.

I could be completely mistaken though. Hopefully, someone with more confident answers will be along shortly.

If you're on the top floor of SSR, depending on location, you can see DTD & the hotels near there (it's also walkable). From OKW I don't think you can see any other hotels, at least where we usually stay, near the hospitality house, but it is a huge resort.
