explaining further, i haven't seen the film but the look on her face just makes me feel like she really isn't too thrilled about the gun and stuff, and she's like 11 too so it's just..

but you don't need to take it down, i don't have that big a problem with it

I love Hit Girl because she represents the ultimate in girl power. She's not afraid to get what she wants, and she doesn't take anything from anybody. She can fend for herself, and actually usually has to save the male figures around her. She makes me proud to be a girl, and want to be as strong and independent as her.

But she's crying there because (spoiler alert): her dad died.

i don't know what it means when it takes hyper-violent hit girl to make someone proud to be a girl (whatever happened to wonder woman?) but at least now i know why her face is like that. doesn't bother me at all now, i thought it was the scene where she's shot at point blank or she shoots someone point blank or something

It doesn't mean anything.
It means we live in a world where girls are still viewed as weak and assuming girls can't do anything.
And yes, she's violent, but she's fighting for justice in that movie (killing a bad man/boss and the guys who killed her mother), and she gets it done.
She's confident. She's strong.

I don't see what's not to admire?
She doesn't kill just for the heck of it, and she stops once the job's done.

Hey, on VFK, I got an award for being closest to the staff's points when judging the rooms last night. That was a nice surprise.

It wasn't too humid in my room last night. It was raining when I went to bed so the temperature was cooler than if it wasn't raining.

Dick Dastardly should just continue racing instead of coming up with plans to stop others from winning. For his plans to work, he has to be ahead of everyone in the first place...
