Random Thread & The Interchangeable Inside Joke

It's basically the rt with different people, I just don't see why they can't post on the rt and talk to each other here, having 2 separate threads is surely going to make it more cliquey?

Every time there's a "no cliques" thread, two things happen.

Either:

The thread bombs after a few days

Or

The thread becomes ironically...cliquey.

Truth is, in forum terms, a "random thread" where random posts that are completely irrelevant to each other in the same thread is considered spam in many forum jurisdictions and is closed immediately by moderators. A thread is supposed to be people talking centered around one topic.

These are facts. I'm not trying to be mean to RT frequenters.

Well, when someone gets ignored every time they try to join a conversation, they'll probably start to feel left out and get the impression of a clique.

I'm not targeting anyone, this is just a very possible scenario. I've felt this way before, just speaking from experience.

I try not to ignore people. It's just that sometimes posts show up at the ends of pages, the DIS loads slowly, and then I don't see a post that ended up at the end of the previous page.
