Aerobic respiration makes 32 ATP.

Glycolysis makes 2 NADH and 2 ATP (which makes 7 ATP overall)
Link reaction makes 2 NADH (which makes 5 ATP overall)
Krebs Cycle makes 6 NADH, 2 FADH and 2 ATP (which makes 20 ATP overall)

That makes 32! Yay.

How does glycolysis work... Glucose has the Phosphate from one ATP added to it, making ADP and turning into a phosphorylated 6C sugar. It is then halved into 3C phosphates. Each of those loses it's hydrogen which is taken up by NAD, which is reduced to NADH. The phosphate is also lost from the 3C sugar, and each taken up by ADP, which is converted to ATP. What's left is known as pyruvate.

Yay! Too bad I had the book open next to me :p

I'm ready for college.
I was going to go off like, 6 hours away.
But I think I'm going to stick with my town.
I want to see my cousins, and the school is close.
I can get a house for cheap and I know my way around.

I did that stuff you're talking about in Biology this year lol

screw that, Im done highschool. Imma go work in disneyworld next year then go to college in LA. :D WHOOP WHOOP.

I'm revising it for my exam tomorrow.

If anaerobic respiration occurs, the pyruvate is converted to lactic acid. To achieve this, the NADH made during glycolysis is used, which means it's not used during the electron transport cycle. This means that only 2 ATP will be made during anaerobic respiration. That's the type of respiration you do when exercising. At some point, it is converted back into pyruvate somehow and stored in the liver, or something. God, I hope I don't write that in the exam :p

Hmm, I think all the stuff on the left is Disney-made shortbread biscuits. On the top shelf, it is Rich Tea biscuits, then chocolate coated Hob Nobs, then maybe fruit & nut Digestives. The shelf under that has caramel filled Digestives, original Digestives, then Jammie Dodgers (or TARDIS self-destruct buttons). Under that is other Disney-made biscuits, then chocolate coated Digestives, then fruit gums and Fruit Pastilles. Under those is some sort of caramel wafer thing I get for lunch sometimes. On the bottom is other Disney-made biscuits, some salt & vinegar or cheese & onion Walkers crisps, something I can't really make out, and Penguin biscuits. P-P-P Pick up a Penguin!

Muscles! Striated muscle is the most common I think. It's attached to the bones and is involved in locomotion. Smooth muscle is under the control of the involuntary nervous system. Cardiac muscle is really strong and only found in the heart.

Slow twitch muscles have lots of myoglobin in, which gives it it's red colour. They are supplied with a high amount of blood vessels. It also benefits from aerobic respiration. Fast twitch muscles have very little myoglobin in, which gives it it's white colour. They are supplied with a small amount of blood vessels. It benefits from anaerobic respiration.

Wow. "It's friday tomorrow" 2 posts in a row with opposite feelings :p

it's friday tomorrow. :)

It's Friday tomorrow. :(

Yeah. This reminded me of this drama game where you have a partner and you have the same phrase/sentence and you have to say it with as many different emotions as possible. My personal favorite was "We hav a math test tomorrow." I did it with excitment because.. well.. I enjoy tests. :goodvibes

pahaha, that was so weird! :3
why the ":(", George?

Biology exam tomorrow. Totally not ready. Luckily, it's at 1:30, so I can go over some things with the class before it happens.

YAY!!!! Friday tommarow. I finally get to see my GF after an entire week. Its been hell.
