I hate when that happens. My mum will be like "oh, it'll only be about 10 minutes," and it'll end up being close to an hour.
I went to a church service at the church near my nan. It was the first church to be bombed in WWII and my grandad stole a crucifix from the ruins when he was young. He returned it a few years ago after reading about the church in the newspaper, thinking the police were on to him... The service was about the 70th anniversary of the bombing and him returning the crucifix. It was pretty boring. I was told it would be 30 minutes long. It ended up being about 75 minutes long...
