Is it wrong that my son knows what a vampire is?

The other day, I was reading a msgboard with him on my lap and one of the userpics was a vampire with a wide open mouth. DS points at it and says "Amper!". I replied, "That's right that IS a vampire sweetie."

He also calls all Klingons (regardless of gender) 'Wof" (Worf).

I am raising a geek in training.

More random thoughts: I keep a picture of my grandfather on my desk (he died 8 years ago). A coworker told me that he looks like the Six Flags guy.

And I think I might go hang around TGIFridays to find out who owns that absolutely gorgeous Ferrari that's always parked out there. An honest-to-God Ferrari. Not something you see every day in Enfield, CT.

And I think I might go hang around TGIFridays to find out who owns that absolutely gorgeous Ferrari that's always parked out there. An honest-to-God Ferrari. Not something you see every day in Enfield, CT.

Liz, my grandpa died 7.5 yrs ago when I was 9 mos pg with my first DD.

I didn't think I was ready for snow, but we just had some flurries, and I got SO excited!!! Here's the conversation I just had with DD2, Madeline.

Me: Madeline, it's snowing!!!
DD2: Where?
Me: Hurry! Come look out the window!
DD2: *silence*

Just when you are all set to do something else after a suppossed 2 hr work commitment, the work thing BLOWS UP and turns into a 4.5 hr fiasco ending past 2am. DAMN YOU MURPHY!!!!!!........DAMN YOU TO HECK!!!!!

Maybe. But then again, maybe my son was destined to be weird. While I was in labor, one of the movies I brought from home to watch was ST: TNG First Contact. It probably doesn't help that I was born during a re-run of the original series, either.

I have a thing for Star Trek and vampires, too. I have a two-shelf bookcase in my bedroom that's nothing but Anne Rice and vampire books. I'm hoping that if I ever have a kid, s/he will turn out like me.

S/He will probably end up being an athlete, though. Just my luck.
