Random thoughts about last weeks trip

We did the fastpass for wishes last Saturday night and it was great. Probably my best fastpass of the week. It was very busy and the spot was perfect. We watched at least 15 people get caught trying to sneak over the fence into the fastpass area and I was very surprised at how some adults behaved in front of there children.

The bus drivers are very patient with rude people. We witnessed 4 people being very loud and rude about having to wait for buses and the drivers were still friendly to them. We had booked a dinner at Boma and were told to take a bus to Animal Kingdom from Wilderness Lodge( where we stayed) and then a bus from
AK to AK Lodge. When the bus driver to AK found out we were going to Boma he drove us direct to the restaurant saving us waiting for another bus. We just missed a bus to HS and a few seconds later it returned . The driver saw us get there too late and asked the 2 passengers he had if it was okay to come back and pick us up.

The BOG pastpass lunch was great. Great meal and very quick. We didn't order ahead of time and from the time we put our order in it was only about 2 or 3 minutes until we had our food delivered to our table. We did dinner there when it first opened and we enjoyed the lunch every bit as much.

It seems as if there are fewer cast members at the parks. Every other time we have been there we never found it hard to find someone to ask for help but this time we had to really work to find someone.

I knew how much construction was going on and didn't think it would bother me but when you are faced with it at every turn you do loose some of the magic. I know it is a necessary evil but If this would have been my first trip I would have been very disappointed.

Hi!

I seem to only heard negative things about FP+ for Wishes and parades, thank you for sharing a positive experience of it! Well, positive despite some behavioral issues... sorry about that.

The bus drivers are saintly in their behavior. Often times, they're the nicest people I encounter on my trips. They put up with a lot and I know many people who have told me they have a goal of writing to Disney about at least one great bus driver every trip!

I love BOG lunch! Best QS in MK in my opinion!!!

I didn't notice any less CMs in July, but then again, I rarely go... I wonder if this has anything to do with the DCP? I know a bunch of people just graduated and are no longer working at the parks, so maybe there's "peak times" where the DCP causes there to be more cast members than usual? Very odd... I'll have to look out for the next trip.

I know there was a TON of construction going on at MK and AK on my last trip. I understand how frustrating it is when there's an abundance of it.

I hope the rest of your trip was simply magical!!! Did you meet any good characters or go on any good rides ?

Did the adults trying to jump into the FP line make things awkward and less magical? Hopefully Cast Members handled it well. I'm guilty of one time accidentally walking into a private viewing party of illuminations... got a cast member in trouble too... boo.

Glad to hear the bus drivers continue the legacy of excellent customer service. I still have memories of a bus driver leading the bus in song during my visits as a child.

I'm hoping the BOG lunch was still good with it being delivered in minutes!

Yep, the bus drivers and the tram loaders. What is so hard to understand about "Please keep completely behind the yellow line"? That's where I wouldn't make a very good cast member. I would have to ask if you are color blind or just think that it didn't apply to YOU!

We did have a great trip. The best use of our fastpasses where the Illuminations, Electrical Parade and Wishes. A lot of people say not to use fastpasses on these shows but we had perfect views for the fireworks and sat on the curb for the Electrical Parade when everone else seemed so crowded and stressed trying to find a good spot.

The BOG lunch was very tasty.

The people trying to get into the fastpass area was more like a sideshow. We would watch them get in and think they were safe and along would come a cast member and politely kick them out. It was
pretty funny to see.
