Poster on the CB wants to interview your 6th-9th grader for a project.
Am I the only parent that thinks red flag? Am I too overprotective when it comes to the net?

in person? on the phone? No way I would allow that. If it was one of those email surveys...maybe. But I would be reading all questions closely first!

ok, c1m, now that you added the link and I read the post...no way! Something sounds fishy to me. Does this person have to go to an internet message board to find kids to interview? If she was indeed an editor of an educational magazine, you would think she had other ways finding kids to interview, you know?

So glad you mentioned it. I noticed it earlier today. I thought it was just me who was alarmed by it. I don't believe that with your kids you can ever be overprotective on the net!

I don't believe that a real educational magazine would be happy with the route she took to get interviews.
