and c1m, photobucket does have ads on it now, my bratz picture started out as a lending tree ad. I bet it is all because of the increased photobucket use since the randomites learned to use it!

I have to run the idea past my mom first...but she loves NYC so I'm sure she will be happy to go...plus it would be cheaper then the trip to Disney for my birthday that I suggested I know for sure I want to go see Wicked on Broadway

I started baby sitting when I was 12 also...I took a class through the Red Cross The main children I watch were toddlers when I started and now the oldest is going to 4th grade...they grow up so fast

When I babysit after school I make $10 which is pretty good since I am usually there for about an hour. As far as how much I make an hour, it depends on the family and whether the father or mother pays me (dad's pay more) I usually make between $7-$8

Thanks! She can probably ask for $5 an hour as a beginner. I was 12 when I started watching kids, too. Somehow I imagine myself as much older than she is at 12, though..........

Just from this page I see Hara is cooking (darn her) I have no dinner planned, yet again. I'm with you c1m, they will eat tacos. or plain pasta. or a hot dog, which i might even heat first! Gotta be quick simple things!

I see nothing wrong with quick and simple meals. In fact, I do lots of those on weekends. I really do enjoy cooking, though I hate cleaning up afterwards.

It all depends on the area you live in I know my Aunt who lives in Virginia pays closer to $10. I've never had someone ask me how much I charged the parents just give me whatever

Yes, the same thing has happened to me. When you're subscribed to a thread such as ours, your e mail box fills up rather quickly!

Today me and middle DD went shopping (well, KMart) and they had Bratz sheets on sale, and pillowcases (extra ones) were only $2. So DD says we should do a "while you were out" for youngest DD and redo her room (which was juvenile and mismatched with hand me downs.
So we got the bratz sheets for $12, three extra cases which I made into curtains (I am SO Martha Stewart today) and the comforter for $24, so for under 50 dollars, a brand new Bratz room!
I washed the sheets and we fixed it up to surprise her. She was ecstatic.

What a great idea!!

We are very small town.........but I remember parents just paying me whatever too, and I was always thrilled with whatever, too.
