Oh, no! Vaca is paid in full.......the public pool lets you set your own hours, too. How about that? There were no jobs like that when I was a teen! I babysat, like Snow, but it is not very lucrative.........

Babysitting is not very lucrative in the summer since the family I usually babysit for after school is off in the summer (school teacher)

OMG so you now how you can have the boards send you emails when the threads you are subscribed to have a new post? Well I usually just change them to no email reminder...but I forgot to do that for this thread and right now I have over 800 emails

Go up to your user cp, upper right corner. You can disable all e-mail reminders at once.

I'm sure Netflix works just as well It is worth it for us to do in the summertime because I can watch the movies during the day but once school starts up we don't have as much time and the movies tend to sit around for awhile until we watch them

That's what I was afraid of. DH and DD work, even weekends for DH. I didn't think we'd have enough time to make it worth it to pay for a subscription.

Hara I am seriously coming over for dinner one day I'm thinking of doing a birthday trip to NYC in March...and I'm easy to please food wise and I don't eat much...you won't even notice I'm there

snow, i haven't babysat (for money) in years....and eons ago I made a dollar an hour. How much has the rate gone up? It probably depends on how many kids, too. DD is wanting to start babysitting (she's 12), and made a little flyer with her name and number on it and gave it to the neighbors with preschoolers. I guessed it is probably five bucks an hour now.....close?

I get BLockbuster emails all the time (join occasionally until we get burned out or caught up on movies). They have plans starting at 3.99 a month, I am sure Netflix does too. If you have one close, Redbox is the way to go, IMHO.

I started baby sitting when I was 12 also...I took a class through the Red Cross The main children I watch were toddlers when I started and now the oldest is going to 4th grade...they grow up so fast

When I babysit after school I make $10 which is pretty good since I am usually there for about an hour. As far as how much I make an hour, it depends on the family and whether the father or mother pays me (dad's pay more) I usually make between $7-$8
