:lmao: non-believers don't understand. But we do! :thumbsup2 My DH is not the Disney nut in the family either, I am. So when I told him that I want to take the kids to Disneyland next week he was like "AGAIN!?" Well, he doesn't have to go. He can just go to work, I don't care! I am sad though because my DS12 is slowly losing interest in this whole Disney thing. Luckily, I still have my DD who is into it! :thumbsup2

Never been to the 'Land. Is it like Magic Kingdom? You are lucky to live so close! We have many smaller amusement parks nearby, like Cedar Point and Hershey Park, but they are not really comperable to Disney World.

not me, it's DH with the toothache. But he took some vicodin. Just gotta keep him drugged up until tomorrow and then hopefully we can get him in with the dentist!

Good luck! Begging will help!

I've never been to CA so am not familiar with Disneyland. I've been to Hershey Park and Six Flags Great Adventure and they don't come close to Disney World.

Hershey is very nice, cool factory tour "ride" with free samples at the end. The town is neat too, hershey kiss shaped streetlights, you can do a trolley ride through the town.......it's a great park.

We took some great pictures when we were there. My favorite part was the Hershey Gardens. Just beautiful!!

My DH is a good sport. He grumbles to the neighbors about the shirts I am going to "make" him wear, but secretly, he loves it. He never utters a complaint about clothing in the "World".

mine either.........he does draw the line at crocs & fanny packs though.....:lmao:

DD is on her way back from her friend's house. Gotta get her dinner ready. Hopefully be back later.

We have been going to Disney for the last 10 summers. Many people have asked us why we don't try somewhere else. To me it's my home away from home. It's safe, pleasant, beautiful to look at and definitely magical. I am not interested in traveling outside of the US. This is the place we dream about going to all year long. I am so sorry DD and DH won't be making the trip this year.

even with Disneyland so close, people constantly ask us why we have to go so often, and doesn't it get old, etc. etc. To us, it never does get old. A lot of times, we don't spend all day at DL. I pick the kids up from school and we go for the afternoon, have dinner there and come back home. I have been there too many times to count and you know it always gives me this magical feeling when I first enter the park and walk underneath the railroad tracks, and I the familiar smells and sound hit me. It gives me goosebumps every single time! And it never gets old!

It just aggrivates me that people feel the need to tell me where I should vacation :furious: When they start paying for my vacation then they can tell me where to go ;)

:thumbsup2 that's right. I know plenty of people who choose the same vacation destination every summer, Hawaii, Mexico, etc.

Lucky, lucky, ducky!
SO, is Disneyland like the Magic Kingdom? I think they have some of the same rides?

The cast members have watched my kids grow up. They feel like family to us.

Even though we aren't staying at the GF any more, we still visit. Any cast members who have been there for years always remember my kids by name. It's just a warm and fuzzy feeling we get every time we go back.

awww that's nice! :lovestruc

Ok, moms of teens........ DS15 met a girl at bible camp last week. They went out as a group of kids from the camp last week. Well, now camp is over. Friend. girl. called today and asked DS to the movies (tonight). I was thinking I had a few more years until DS "dated" since you can't drive until 16 and a half in PA and DS was just 15 in May.

I said he could go to the movies.
I don't think I am old enough for a dating teen, though!
