Random Girl Health Question?!

I was just looking for possible answers to this because I'm stumped and can't seem to find any answers via google....Sorry if this is TMI!!!

I'm 25 and on "the pill" and have been since 2004 never missing a cycle. I had a PAP done on 3/16 which was normal and I'm not "active" in adult activities. I was supposed to get my pd this week and it's Friday night and no pd yet!

This has never happened before so I'm kind of confused as to what may be going on since I'm on the pill, not "active", just had a normal pap, and have never missed a pd.

I was on amoxicillin (sp) for 10 days-3/10-3/20 and read that it can hinder bc but I couldn't find any evidence saying that it can cause you to miss a pd.
I've been stressed at work (teacher) this week and I hear that can cause it too but I've been stressed before and it has come.

Any advice or info would be great!! I figured if it doesn't come by Mon and I start my pills back up Sunday that I would call my OB/GYN and ask to see what might be going on, thanks!!!

The antibiotics definitely can interfere with the efficacy of the pill, even if you are not "active".

If you have no reason to believe you are pregnant, then I wouldn't worry about it all. Just take the starter pill of your next pack on schedule. If you don't get your NEXT period, then definitely call your ob/gyn.

But I'm betting you will get your period very late into the "off pill days"...that happens sometimes.

Honestly, no worries. It's very normal given the circumstances.

When I was put on heavy rounds of antibiotics I experienced missed periods. I was told it is normal with the antibiotic treatment as is yeast infections that show no symptoms.

okay good!! The whole pregnant thing is not an issues because it has been well over a year since I have been "active" in adult activites so that isn't even in the picture so I guess we will just wait and see!! THANKS!
