OK, I'm making our meal plan and have a few more questions.

1. Anyone know how much is kids meal option in Rainforest cafe?
2. How big is possibility Buzz Lightyear's pizza planet will be open in March?
3. Where to look for Inventions Sunday brunch theme?
4. Agrabah cafe will have something for fussy eaters (kids)?
5. So, we will find characters for lunch in Mickey's cafe?
6. If I want to miss the crowds what time I should book our lunch in buffets (having bigger lunch works out way better for us)? Would 14.00 do?
7.Do I better make reservations for Plaza gardens, Restaurant des stars, Agrabah cafe, Hunter's grill?
8. And taking about Hunters grill, is it worth doing? It's in our hotel, would be an evening meal.... :confused3

I'll add more questions on the way... :rotfl:

I can try and answer a couple of those...

1. Don't know
2. Don't know
3. I think people have generally found out the theme when call the reservations number. Not sure how reliable they are though!
4. Agrabah mostly serves Moroccan-type food but they also do tomato meatballs, couscous and possibly plain pasta.
5. Yes, I believe the characters are at Cafe Mickey between 12 and 3
6. We found earlier lunches worked out well. We usually booked for 12-12.30 ish and generally got seated quickly. By the time we left at 1 - 1.30 the queues were bigger.
7. You may aswell make reservations if you have an idea of where you want to go. They're easy enough to change if you fancy somewhere different.
8. I've never been there but it's on my to-do list. Reviews seem to range from Ok to Very Good. It's not as good as Inventions but it seems the choice is better than the buffets in Hotel New York and NPBC.

HTH!

Thanks. I'd like to do different meals than on previous trips. But planing is difficult. I need a plan I can stick to as this works way better for me. We've done park side dinner twice, so I want to try another hotel's buffet. I'd love to try Agrabah, but have to be sure kids will have at least something to eat!

Oh, so if we hit around 14.00 will we meet the crowds?

1 - http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=46024948&postcount=50

Hasn't changed yet

2 - Highly doubt it, haven't seen it open in ages and ages and March is not in season nor school holidays

3 - The restaurant reservations can tell you when you phone and I'll put them up as soon as I get them ;)

4 - Have answered about Agrabah in the past for you - I'm sure that they will find things there

5 - Yes

6 - The English tend to eat first along with the Dutch and German, then you get the French and the Italians and lastly the Spanish so even at 14.00 there are people eating and the buffet selections are still good

Same in the evening

7 - I'd make reservations as it doesn't cost anything and you can always move them around later

8 - No idea, never eaten in a hotel at DLP :goodvibes

its shame about Buzz Lightyear's pizza planet being closed in March as we were planing to eat there... Had good time in the summer and now my little boy is Toy Story crazy it would be something extra for him...

we are also thinking of going at the end of November so just wonder was it open then? Its not a hight season but its Christmas so I hope it will be:goodvibes

It will be our third visit and no luck with buzz lightyear pizza. I do hope it will be open!

We ate at buzz light year restaurant last week and it was the worst food I have ever tasted in my life, there was no atmosphere at all, wouldn't eat there again

Reviews are so different, I'm not expecting a great quality food rather like fast food, but my kids want the atmosphere. To me it won't be a loss if it's closed, but DSs will de disappointed

No change there then :sad2:

Surprised you found it open in the 1st place though....very unusual these days.

My kids loved the play area in the corner....presume that's still there?

Yes, play area is still there… and we want to go there because of the theme not food ..its ok pizza, pasta and salad if you want better food you just wont dine there…

The food was truly disgusting, when we walked in it stunk and it turned out to be the cheese on the pizzas, so many different places better than this for the same price. It isn't Open in the week apparently, we managed to catch it on the sat. Yeah play area is there but we didn't use it we ate (not much) and left

5. Yes
6. Yes you'd have missed the main rush by then
7.It will depend on the time you think you'll be eating. If it's a popular time such as just after dreams I would
8. We were not impressed AT ALL

So if I plan 14.00 lunch I should be fine without reservations?

We walked past it a few times at 2pm and it looked quiet, but that was off season. I'm afraid I have no experience of how busy it would be during busier times :)
