[Mum to Belle]

Hello again!

I'm after some advice for my upcoming Christmas trip.

Where are the best places to stand to watch:
Christmas Tree Lighting
Castle Lighting
Fantillusion
Christmas Parade?

Any secret spots will be really useful as we will be there on a weekend!

Hopefully my friendly DISers can provide some advice here - especially those of you returning from Christmas trips!

Hello again!

I'm after some advice for my upcoming Christmas trip.

Where are the best places to stand to watch:
Christmas Tree Lighting
this is at the top end of Mainstreet as you walk in. Face the Station to see the little show, the area becomes roped off as a float needs to enter in front of the tree.

Castle Lighting
T Due to the rain, the Castle lighting has not very big this year! You'll hear an announcement and then section by section the Castle lights. Very disappaointing after Candleabration. Hopefully it'll be dry and you'll get the show.

Fantillusion

If you want to see the baddie stop, stand at Walts. This will bring you opposite Jafar, with Malificent behind and Ursula in front. Be prepared if you have yound children as ours screamed This is assuming it is coming from Fantasy land towards Mainstreet. If coming the other way, they stop near the hub on the Castle side, but if it's raining they cut this stop out.


Christmas Parade?

The Christmas parade is OUADP with Santa added at the end (which is lovely!) I think others will know the bst place for the stops, as we didn't have any because of the rain


Any secret spots will be really useful as we will be there on a weekend!
Standing by Walts or opposite, you'll be able to turn around and go straight out through the arcades to avoid the masses that will appear trying to get out down Main Street

I'm pretty sure the OUAD parade doesn't do stops at all with the Christmas bit added to it, so your normal parade spot will be fine.

For the tree lighting ceremony, we waited right on the corner, but on Main St Usa, next to the lampost there near the Emporium. When the CM came to rope off for the ceremony, we were right at the front .

If I remember from previous years it has only had one stop whereas it normally has 2. So the princesses normally dance by Bella Notta and by the castle but in the Christmas one the only stop is the 2nd one - this is because they get the whole parade out on the route before any stops.

We also waited by the emporium for tree lighting and this was a great view.
On our last day we sat on the castle stage benches for OUAD (2nd row) and it was amazing. The parade was against the castle framed by a dramatic sunset - the perfect end to our trip!

We do usually watch the parade opposite Bella Notte so I had a feeling we'd be better watching somewhere else. I have now updated my planner with your answers!!
