So I'm pretty sure all the answers are here, buried deep within the threads.....but was hoping to save myself the hours of searching & hit it lucky with the helpful members on here!!!

1. When turning in a GAD voucher for FP's.....where do we go?? Do we go thru the gates & then to Guest Services or do we need to go to one of the ticket booth lines prior to entrance.

2. When turning in a GAD voucher for the figurine & pin set......where do we go??

3. For those that have done WoC dining/picnic reserved area.....are strollers (being used as wheelchairs/GAC) allowed in these areas or are we paying for something that could be an issue?

4. For the Celebration Parade.....I've read you have to stand for this....but what about strollers?? Are they allowed or do they want the kids out of the strollers or do they have areas they prefer us to be (again it would be a GAC thing)

5. Do the WoC picnic & dining all sit in the same reserved area??

6. Can you set up a tripod at the WoC??

7. If we want to take the Monorail from Tomorrowland to DTD, can we take the strollers on it? We don't want to leave the strollers (our personal ones) for a couple hours while we dine at Goofy's Kitchen.

Thanx for any help you can give us!!!

You can take strollers on the monorail. Under usual circumstances, the child must be taken out and it gets folded up. But when being used as a wheelchair I would imagine it's treated as a wheelchair...so I would talk with the CM there when you get up the ramp! Remember, the DTD monorail station is towards the end, near Rainforest Cafe and the theater, so if you are dining much further towards the esplanade you might not find it to be a time-saver. And you'll use the elevator at the DTD station, since there's no ramp there like at Tomorrowland.

The Celebrate parade, that's just the strange little not-a-parade they've been running? People have strollers right there all the time.

Thanx for the answers. We were going to ride the Monorail to get to our Goofy's Kitchen ressie. I'm glad to see they're allowed on....didn't want to leave 2 $400 strollers unattended for that long!! :scared1:

Good news on the "not a parade" & strollers!! The twins would not do well outside of the strollers!!

One more question:

Will we be able to use the strollers while waiting at PFF & Pixie Hollow?

Yes, but you may need the GAC. Pixie Hollow has a separate accessible line, but PFF you will wait in the regular line.

I don't have a problem waiting in the normal line.....that's part of the experience.....I just want to be able to use the strollers for the twins. (we will have GAC's for the girls) thanx for the info!!!

Laurie: the WOC dining and picnic areas are separate. And I believe you are allowed to use a stroller.

Oh, they are separate areas?? I thought I read they were the same...... Do you know if it's worth paying the extra for the dining vs the picnics?? Right now we have a dining ressie but am considering changing it to the picnics.

Good to know about the strollers!! Thanx Cheryl!!

I have to agree! My DD12 uses a wheelchair and I felt we were missing something last week with the alternate waiting areas!

One more question:

Hey, I can answer a couple of these! :woohoo: :)

We had GAD vouchers and took them to City Hall. They process it, and they will need everyone's tickets and I think everyone needs to be there also. Then they give you a ticket or something printed out and send you over to the tour kiosk next door. That's where they print up the actual FP's.

In case you were wondering at all about birth certs. for children claiming their GAD voucher, all I had was a plain copy of DD's birth cert. No official or certified copy was required. :thumbsup2

When we were in line for PFF, the CM came by and instructed anyone with strollers to set them aside by the rail. There was someone ahead of us who was using a stroller for their disabled DD, and they just went right through the line with no problems. None of the CM's said anything either, so you should be good there.

1-2. I don't have experience at this, but I think another location you can turn in your GAD vouchers is in DCA in Greetings from California at the AP processing center in there. We were getting DS10's picture retaken this weekend since it was over 4 years old and some of the CMs were starting to complain. Anyway, we chose the DCA AP center since there were 5 people manning the area and no one in line. When standing there, I noticed some special signs saying something about doing your GAD reward redemption there. You might want to check since lines don't seem to be much of an issue.

4. Tons of strollers along the parade route.

6. I saw someone using a one-legged tripod at WOC on Sunday night. I think there were other tripods out there. No CMs stopped any of these people, so it is either permitted or remained unnoticed. The guy near us with the one-legged tripod came prepared as he also had his camera wrapped in plastic to protect it from errant water jets, one of which we were surprised by. This jet though was not from the lagoon but instead from one of the small fountains in the planter just in front of the railing we were standing behind. We were well back from the lagoon, but you can still get a little wet.

7. We were in a monorail car yesterday morning with two moms with small children. The cars were not filled for that trip, and the CMs did not ask them to collapse their strollers. It's been years since we used a stroller, but I seem to remember being asked to leave it outside of Goofy's Kitchen while we dined. When we had the small collapsible one, they let us collapse it and bring it in.

3. For those that have done WoC dining/picnic reserved area.....are strollers (being used as wheelchairs/GAC) allowed in these areas or are we paying for something that could be an issue?

In the Preferred Dining area, strollers were DEFINITELY allowed opening night and there was plenty of room. I THINK they actually allow strollers in every area but someone else can probably help with that.

Wheelchairs are definitely allowed in every colored viewing area, so if the strollers are like GACs then in theory you should be able to get through OK. They reportedly let wheelchairs enter their areas first (so you'd have to get there well before the time listed on the FP)...but since your kid/s are in "strollers" then that may be a bit of a challenge until/unless you get a CM to understand that the strollers are medically necessary/etc.

If your kid/s are going to be in a stroller for the whole show, I'm not sure but it just may be challenging finding a spot where they can get a good view, period, though, since there are walls and/or people's heads in your way if you're exceptionally short (I'd imagine someone sitting in a stroller is about 3 feet tall?) Maybe someone else can speak about that, though.

5. Do the WoC picnic & dining all sit in the same reserved area??

Probably not. Opening night, whether by intention or by accident, SOME picnic viewers reportedly ended up in the Preferred Viewing area. I THINK the picnics now all give you assigned color viewing areas now (so you'd be with the other Blues, Yellows, etc.). Even if some picnics for whatever reason DO still come with Preferred Viewing, though, you most definitely cannot count on it. And I don't think any picnic meals do. (People getting an adequate but not great meal at Ariel's Grotto and Wine Country Trattoria are paying a premium for their view! :flower3: )

6. Can you set up a tripod at the WoC??

I'd think the more room you have (i.e. in the preferred area) the better your chances, but I've heard sometimes Disney doesn't like tripods/"professional camera equipment" in the parks. (Have you ever had any trouble elsewhere in the parks?)

I personally wouldn't bother with it for World of Color (MAYBE if you're just filming without moving the camera?). You can't really photograph and watch the show at the same time, especially not at the first time.

Have a great trip!

Disney puts so much work into the queing areas....I take tons of pics while in lines!!

Oh my gosh...I'm so glad you reminded me about the birth certificate!!! I had totally forgotten that we would need this!!
Good news on PFF & the strollers!

Going to DCA to turn in the vouchers might be the way to go....I imagine it isn't as busy as City Hall in DL. Thanx for that tip!!

Good tip about getting wet even when back from the water!!

I'm glad we can take the strollers on the monorail & since the strollers do fold in half, maybe they'll let us take them in with us. I get nervous leaving our strollers for any amount of time.

I'll make sure we get in line early & I'll let the CM's see the GAC so they understand our situation. To be honest with you....I'm not sure the twins will still be awake to watch the show. So having people in front of them might not be an issue. If they're awake....we'll just hold them for the show....it's the waiting for the show to start that will be the time the girls need the security of their strollers.

The reason we want the tripod is to get an occassional picture. We have a night setting on the camera but NO-ONE has a steady enough hand to get a clear pic. I can keep the legs in on the tripod but still use it to hold the camera still. I don't plan on taking a ton of pics....cause like you said.....I want to watch!!

Thanx everyone SO much for the information & tips.....this will help us in our planning a ton!!:flower3:
