Random advice for future visitors....... :)

as stated.
PLEASE DISREGARD #6 Heck even my wife would agree with me on that one!

Actually here's one - Be nice and respectful to all the CM"s - It ain't worh $6 an hour to put up with all your bs.

My one bit of advice?

Tolerance. Let the minor irritations slide off you like water off a duck. Accept that everyone will not look or act or dress or operate like you. Accept that there are thousands of different ways to see the world and while you might have found the most efficient way to see the world. I might choose a more relaxed pace over efficiency.

Well said! Tolerance

To those who don't take my post with the levity that was intended, I am really sorry you feel that way. It was not intended to offend you but to take a situation we all know we will encounter and to address it with humor. Seems that most people "got it" but clearly a few didn't. It happens.

I forget sometimes that there are incredibly delicate sensibilities around here.

Again, I'm sorry you feel that way and I respect your right to feel it. I will continue to feel the way I do and wish you a pleasant afternoon.

One head scratcher for me were the people wearing jeans....seriously...denim in 90 degree plus heat with humidity???

This will be my husband when we are there next week. He seems to have some sort of aversion to shorts and is absolutly not listening to be about how HOT it is going to be especially with all that heat reflecting off the pavement.

I get it. I get that you were being funny and making fun and not meaning it to be any other way. But ... well ... some of the people you're having so much fun with are also some of the people reading your levity and humor here. In fact, I'm one of them (although I don't think I'll reveal which number(s) from your list I am totally and regularly guilty of! :rolleyes1). So to see so much mirth surrounding something that I tend to do when I'm at WDW (and never really thought was 'wrong') is a little disconcerting. I didn't realize I was so darned entertaining and providing so much fodder for amusement! I was just having fun too, y'know? Just sayin' ...

:earsboy:

Sorry, Betty & Boop need to breathe too. :goodvibes Although the, "Well I never!" stares (which always seem to come from other women) are always funny. ;)

To be fair though, for all those women who do feel the need to display Betty & Boop, don't get an attitude when a guy notices. You put them out on display like that then you have to expect men to ogle them.

Running around screaming about what pigs men are and acting all offended that they noticed them when you blatantly let them hang out just shows how clueless the woman is. Don't want men to look at them? Then cover them up.

Oh, and this is coming from a women who is well endowed herself, so no, I am not jealous. :rotfl:

Oh, and maybe the tank tops with hairy backs, too. I understand that it's nature and all that, but I don't want it rubbing on me in line when you back into me.
Ugh, you had to go there, didn't you? I'm trying to eat breakfast here and to put this imagine in my head. :scared1: Sweaty, hairy back in the the middle of summer. I'm going to be sick now. :sad2:

not at all....Had a fun time at the parks with the family last week but somethings just made me shake my head.

The thread is all in good fun, perhaps you sound like a person with no sense of humor?

noooo... actually i have a fine sense of humor. your post just strikes me as whining. the mental picture it gives is one of an unhappy person, for whatever reason, feeling put upon, uncool, unattractive, whatever the case may be that leads to the need complain a lot, boss around their kids, make fun of others from a lack of self respect, etc. etc. anyway, have a nice day!

:rotfl2: So glad I'm not the only one! Makes me  to think about it!

Speedos? Really? :scared1: I'm going to be careful where I look when I go to WDW ;)

Yes, please be careful or you'll be like :scared1:. They were everywhere at BB when we went there. DD19 just walked everywhere with her head down since she had seen WAY more than she wanted to! :rotfl2:

gald to hear that since initially your post struck me as the whinings of a stick in the mud that can't take a joke or see in the humor in certain situations and who also is so smart and wonderful that they can judge peoples happiness and parenting abilities based on their message board postings.

However, I'm glad that my mental image of you was so far off and now know that you are fun loving and can take a joke.

I hope you have a nice day as well.

Hmmm... it does get pretty hot in FL and one person's mores and values may differ from another's. Yes, some women will dress to elicit a reaction (as will some men) but others will dress for comfort or personal sense of style or any other of a myriad reasons. Will men notice? Of course! That's normal. But ogle? I've always felt that it's impolite to stare, including if someone is dressed (in my opinion) differently. I'm going to shut up now.
Ah, well. To each their own. Maybe if we all had fur it would be different. Oh, wait, we already covered hairy backs didn't we? :goodvibes

I don't undertstand why this is so unbelievable for people. I wear jeans all the time, even in the summer heat of Florida. They are no hotter for me than having the sun beaming down directly on my bare legs, and (unlike most shorts I've worn) they don't ride up and are not constantly in need of being pulled down in the crotch area. They're 100% cotton, so they're not holding in heat (they 'breathe') and if you've got a really nicely broken-in pair, they're soft and very comfortable and not nearly as hot as they might look. If given a choice between jeans and shorts on a hot day, I'll always choose jeans. The only exception is if I know I'm going on a lot of water rides (flumes, rapids, etc) -- because jeans just do NOT dry quickly ....

:earsboy:

I agree. We're from Florida and have pictures from a July visit to Chef Mickey's. My m-i-l is in a sort of sweats outfit and my niece is wearing a sweater and jeans.

.. this is just the 2nd time in about a month one of these posts seemed to be offending people and the OP was shocked at what they thought was funny didn't come off as such. It's hard to "read" the tone of a message, you kinda have to spell it out on a board I think.

Along the same lines, to everyone else - you shouldn't get upset when we're ogling said clueless women and bump into you. Seriously, if they didn't want people walking into other people, garbage cans and lamp posts, and tripping over curbs and strollers, then they should've put them away!

And, if we're wearing sunglasses, our eyes and bodies are likely not going in the same direction.

It is all fun and games. Yeah, if I'm at Disney or anywhere else for that matter I'll notice something that I think is funny and have a little chuckle. Not going to point and laugh hysterically and try to embarrass anyone, but let's face it, nobody is perfect. I'm sure more people notice things like that than they'd care to admit. Why else would people watching always be such a popular activity among people on these boards??? :confused3 As far as people seeing me and making fun of me??? I'm sure it happens, so what? That's life, they may think I'm funny, I might think their funny, it is all good.;)

As far as the jeans topic goes, I'm a jeans guy myself... just not at WDW. I sweat way too much for that, but don't worry, I don't wear tank tops and my back is not hairy. :thumbsup2:rotfl2::lmao:

actually, if you read through these messages.....MOST people did find it funny, at least most that took the time to post in this thread.

However, some people will find fault for most any thread posted on here as it just seems that some people want to take any post (no matter how innocent)and find something negative to say about it.

This really was all in good fun, and I think most people "got" the joke nature of the thread. I wasnt out to insult or offend anyone (be it map readers or well endowed girls --- I love you I really do!!) but to point out things that caught my attention and made me laugh or shake my head while at DW last week.

This it true. That doesn't mean it didn't offend the other 100 people that looked at it and didn't reply.

Just saying.

This is the DIS...generally, if someone is offended enough they'll be sure to let you know about it!!

ALL of those are so VERY VERY True!!!! And yes, I took it as what occurs in a normal day at the World and not whining at all.
