We are staying at the Red Lion, over Thanksgiving, but have some friends who want to come down for 3 days.
They need a room $50.00 a night or under.
The Ramada at the Convetion Center has rooms for around that.
Any opionons? The Good, the Bad, and the well.......:happytv:

Whoa, it gets bad reviews on trip Advisor.. but everything in this price range does!

We stayed at the Ramada on the other side on 5 over Tgiving, paid about $50-60 a night and it was just fine. It was not the Ramada you're asking about, it was not the Ramada on Harbor near the gates, it was the Ramada on Harbor across the freeway. The room was fine, service was fine and the price was great. We also stayed at the Days Inn on Ball, it too was fine and about $50 a night. Not a holiday when we stayed there tho so I don't know if you could get those rates then.

Thanks Pixie!
The Motel 6 is even $68.00 a night... sigh. I never realized how high some of these older motels are!

I asked this a couple months ago and no one could give me an answer...like you said everything in that price range gets bad reviews. You also have to remember that people are more likely to do a bad review then a good one.

We generally stay at the Days Inn & Suites on Harbor, just past Ball. It gets negative reviews but I have never had a bad experience there. The TV was broken once but they swaped it out right away. We have a reservation there for $58/night over Veterns Day.

Is this the one all the way down on Harbor?
We stayed there one night and the hotel is pretty old. :)
The beds were draped in older burgundy sheets and we had a 2 queen bedroom with a seperate living room. We paid about $80 I think for a last minute stay. I wouldnt book it again.
I have stayed at the Ramada passed the freeway by the Carrows restaurant and that one was much better!!! :) Usually the rates for that one are about $65 if you book with enough time.
Hope that helps...

It's south Harbor. I think it was built for a Quality Suites. It's across from the old Bakers Square restaraunt. It says it's a suite's....

That's the one we stayed at, it's in the same parking lot as Carrows and we ate at Carrows 2 or 3 times while we were staying at that Ramada. :)

Also check the Anaheim Plaza, it's not a good neighbor hotel but it's on Harbor and very close to the DL main gates. We stayed there for $59 a night, but be aware that they do charge for parking, we paid $4 per day in October of 09. It was a nice place to stay, a little higher then the $50 you're looking for but still nice. :)

It was the first place I checked ( Anaheim Plaza )
It's $89.00 plus tax for that weekend.
She ended up booking the Ramada. $59.00 plus tax.
$203.00 for 3 nights...... and it's a mini suite.
She's happy with it.

I will report on it when we return, I'll be at the Red Lion... I'm a little nervous about it.. we usually do the HoJo, Fairfield,Carousel,Hilton, or Hyatt.
Got the Red Lion for $70.00 on Priceline.

Wondering how the stay was at the Ramada Convention? I booked a room there for the D23 expo coming up in August - room was super affordable, I am wondering of the hotel was clean? I am not expecting 5 star quality - I just want to make sure the place is clean and safe.

Any kind of review would be appreciated!!
