Has anyone ever stayed at the Ramada Plaza Resort on John Young Parkway? Do you know how close it is to disney? Is it clean? I decided to try one of those 3 day 2 night free trips and this is the hotel I was given. They say it is a 3 star hotel but I really don't know. If anyone has stayed or knows any thing about this hotel please comment. Thanks..

I've had some dealings with the Ramada Plaza Resort Telemarketers. I found an offer sent in the mail and the offer actually made by phone to be so far apart that I did some research on them. Type in "Ramada Plaza Resorts law suit" in any search engine and that should tell you what you need to know about these folks. Or, check out this link:

There are always people unhappy with a given outfit and always people willing to bash a hotel. But the reviews on RPR seem so uniform it's hard to ignore. I should point out I didn't read anything too terrible about the hotel itself (although the general agreement from what I read is that it's a 2*). But it made me not want to do business with them. Personal opinion only :>

There was a thread started about "Ramada Plaza Resorts' a few weeks ago. I reported the very same thing. When I did a casual serach on teh Internet for those words, I came up with all sorts of complaints, law suits pending, etc. The thread ended with my post, which actually surprised me. What I said however is that it's very hard to determine whether the legitimate "Ramada" corporation has anything to do with this "Ramada Plaza Resorts" company. Odds are they don't, but who knows. I would think that a corporation such as "Ramada" would distnace themeselves to the extent to put information on their websites. It's not the first time that some unscrupulous opportunists register certain names to lend credibility to their schemes. But what I find most disturbing are consumers who doesn't question these "too good to be true" vacation packages. Are people really this naive?

You hit the nail on the head. Of all vacation spots, Orlando is the most flexible. It's almost like the stock market. There are too many good deals to be had without doing something foolish. But of all words that should cause even the untrained ear to fear, "free" should be the redest of all flags.

FYI, I called Ramada and it took a while and a few transfers, but I got this (sic): the Ramada Plaza Resort is an official Ramada hotel. Ramada Plaza Resorts vacation and timeshare division is not affiliated with Ramada International. In other words, Ramada International seems to want to distance themselves from RPR, too.
