We are going to Disney in March. I booked a reservation on Hotwire and ended up with the Ramada Plaza/Inn in Kissimmee, Hwy 192, 1 mile from WDW. I've read some not so wonderful things about this property. Here is my delima. I am stuck sith the property, but have an option of the Inn or the tower(Plaza). Which is better/cleaner? I know there is a micro in the Plaza, a double vanity, and more space. The Inn enters from the outside, is smaller, and no micro, but was renovated a few years ago. I'm pulling my hair out here trying to make a decision. Please tell me what you think.

Thanks,
Wendi

Hi there!

We stayed here for 2 nights in Januray, 4th floor, Plaza area. I would definitely take the Plaza room---it's interior like a regular hotel. The inn rooms kind of stuck out in back, 2 story, looked a bit seedy. Overall, I had no problems staying here. While the bathroom fixtures were dated, everything was clean; slight scent of bleach in the air. The split bathroom was great for a family--2 sinks! Front desk and check-in was nice. She gave us a pass to hang from the car and told us we could park in the underground parking if it was available, and it was every time we needed to park. There were a bunch of school girl soccer champions staying there for a competion, but noise was never a problem. Our room faced the busy road out front but you couldn't hear it through the thick glass. We ate at the restaurant one night, very tired at the time, and that too was a delightful experience. For under $20. you can get a large pizza and 2 liter of soda; tasted great, service was great, a little slow for the food to come out but she was short-handed; not a big deal. I forget what my dh ordered, but it was absolutely delicious. If you just need somplace clean and safe to sleep while going to WDW, you will be in good shape. Oh, there is a Bob Evans across the street and down a block or two (toward WDW)--we ate breakfast there one day and that was wonderful---fast, hot, great coffee and very inexpensive. Let me know if you have any other questions.
