I've looked back a couple pages and didn't see anything about this hotel. We've been to DLR only once before and stayed at the CCI. We liked it, but the Ramada is the same price, closer (we will be with my elderly mother so every little bit helps), a better pool, and includes breakfast just like CCI. Is there any reason you wouldn't stay there?

When we first started going to DL, we stayed at Ramada Maingate because we didn't know better. The breakfast was very limited: coffee, milk, oatmeal, cheerios, apples and/or bananas, orange/apple juice and those sweet danish pastries, I think there is some sliced bread too. It wasn't not much, but the line, in the little place next to the pool where they served it, was long.

The bedrooms..., well, they had a kind of grayish look and stuffy smell to them, like cheap motels. The carpets were old, the towels as well, but we just wanted a place to crash after coming back from the parks. Later on, when our stays became lengthier and I found Disboards, we decided to upgrade, and not look back. I can honestly tell you that I will stay at the RM only if there is absolutely no other option. But again, this is just our experience and opinion.

Oh, and pricewise, we now pay the same, if not less than we used to pay at RM. For much better and comfortable environment, in our opinion.

If I had to choose between the two being the same price I would stay at CCI

we loved everything about the ramada ( except maybe breakfast being a bit boring and bland)

Each to their own I guess - but at the RM make sure you get a premium or delux room .

We just stayed at RM over Christmas and had a great time. It is not upscale by any means but you truly can't beat the location. :goodvibes

We have stayed at RM 3 x and it was ok, beds were small. 1st time was a premium room so nice and spacious. They remodeled the second year so the rooms were brighter. Pool is nice.

No fridge was a definate minus. We stayed at Tropicana, which was cheaper with the night free the next year and it had bigger beds and was closer. The fridge saved us money with ability to eat leftovers and to not buy as much pop or juice from the park. It was great to have cold items. I can't live without a fridge now.

Premium rooms definitely have a fridge and microwave at the RM :thumbsup2
