ramada inn gulfview-clearwater beach

hi,
katie posted that she's stayed at this resort. can you please elaborate on your stay and the resort itself? is this the ramada inn gulfview?
we got a great rate at this resort, $64.50/night with a discount card. my only hesitation is that the beach is not directly in front of the hotel. how far a walk to the beach and is the beach nice that is closest to the resort? what other activities did they have for children? what local attractions/sightseeing did you do?

Hi! I can tell you that your rate is very good, but make sure it is for gulfview and not the town view. The sunsets are worth the extra money for a gulfview.What month are you going? The balconies look over the pool area and the waterview. The beach is not far and within walking distance. hIt is very nice and have small tent like huts for some shade. I believe you have to rent them. There is lots to do with the kids. There is a dolphin watching boat, miniature golf, a pirates boat ride and more. Lots of shops for souveniers too! My hubby and I went alone and kept saying how much the kids would like it, so this time we are bringing them with us! The hotel has a game room (small) and a restaurant. HI! We stayed at the Ramada Inn Gulfview last year in May.I don't know when you're staying but sounds like a real great rate! The beach is not too far to walk but get there early it gets packed!The hotel is very nice but we found it too big for our taste! The kids enjoyed watching the dolphins swim nearby. This year in June we're going to try the Econo Lodge Beachfront Resort a few doors down from the Ramada. We got a good deal on a gulfview/corner room and am hoping its as nice! It also is supposed to have its own private beach! Good luck and have a great trip! Clearwater Beach is beautiful and wait til you see the sunsets!

.. that you got a rate so cheap. We've been quoted $140 and up -- and we can't even get a room there April 13. How did you do it?

got this rate with the itc-50 card. this is a card good for "50% off hotel rates" that was a benefit of joining "leisure advantage," or "homeworks." these are shopping discount clubs.

i was pretty amazed at the rate too, although im not sure this is where we want to stay. was looking for a resort that was right on the beach. this seems to be a walk down the street to the beach, although it seems to be a nice resort.
