Anyone watching it? I saw it last night for the first time, I LMAO. :lmao: So happy to find a new show to watch.

too funny! i'm hoping we'll see some more former "my name is earl" cast members in this show (love the supermarket manager :rotfl:)-who knows, maybe we'll find out that this family is somehow related to earl or one of the characters from that show:scared1::rotfl:

the baby is ADORABLE, and has the most expressive face! me-maw's fleeting lucid moments are a hoot!

I dunno gang...something tells me this one is going the way of Lone Star...

I've never really cared for sitcoms, but this one is fantastic. Martha Plimpton and Garrett Dillahunt are awesome as the parents and who can deny Cloris Leachman is hilarious?

So, yeah, the show probably won't see another season. That usually happens with shows I love right from the start. :sad2: I usually do better catching good shows in syndication after they've already had some lasting power.

I've watched both episodes so far, but doubt I'll make it a priorty to watch it a third time. I think it's more stupid than funny. :(

IMO there are some talented people on the show, however the premise is somewhat limiting. I don't think it's going to last.

The first episode was outright hilarious, we laughed a lot. The second, not so much. We'll keep watching.

You are right for two reasons:
1. It's very clever and therefore will probably only pick up a cult following.
2. I love it, so that is pretty much the kiss of death.

SPOILER

The thing I laughed at the most about last night's show was when the baby would only smile at the girl with the dead tooth. And the last scene, they show her smiling at her dad. I was thinking "oh here we go, sitcom shmaltz" but then they showed his teeth from where he had eaten brownies. I thought I was going to die :lmao:
Great show!

I am loving it so far, I was definitely laughing out loud for real. I like the main guy that they cast- he does a great job. I hope it stays this good. I really liked the first season of Earl, but then it started to go down hill a little and lost steam.

I LOVE this show! Its so cute! Also, iTunes has the first episode for free! Go download it!

I never watch sitcoms and generally avoid family type shows (I like dramas, nothing against the other) but I totally heart this show. I have been a Martha Plimpton fan for ages and she and Garrett Dillahunt steal every scene. It is cool to see him play someone other than a sociopath or a terminator.

My favorite scene so far was when Cloris was 'breastfeeding' Hope and Garrett ran in and saw what she was doing and started to vomit. LOL.

Next week we are going to find out that Virginia is actually a hoarder. LOL!! I completely believe it.

I actually really liked the first two episodes - it's quirky, which is my type of show. Hope it makes.

.

OHHH, I had forgotten about that! That was so disgusting!! Who writes this stuff?? :rotfl:

I LOVE how she occasionally lapses into sanity for just a minute or so. Like with the smoking? "You have been letting me smoke???" And then 20 secs later she is lighting one up. Brilliant!

I will watch. The creator is a frat buddy of a friend of mine. We have partied together.

The show is funny. Still waiting on the cast to get in sync, but I think they will

Well I am definitely hoping the show stays on the air. :thumbsup2 I only wish it was an hour instead of 30 minutes, it's over so fast.

I haven't watched yet but FOX has a studio that is a warehouse building across the street from my apartment building. They have filmed a few "out side" scenes right outside my apartment window on the side street. I'm currently unemployed so I'm home during the day and the studio will have the city block off the streets so no one can park for the day. They set up cones that say "HOPE" and only use one camera for filming. The last scene I saw was pretty funny and I didn't even know who the actors were at the time till after. They were all getting into an old PU truck and the blond gal was wearing a red poodle skirt. They piled about 5 people into the cab of this truck that had no extended cab and shoved Cloris Leachman behind the bench seat. They had removed the bench seat to make room for CL and put it back in the cab and set it on cinderblocks . They drove up and down the street three times, did 3 takes and that was it. They set up the scene, taped and tore down and were back across the street in the warehouse (studio) in about 1 1/2 hours. It all appears to be pretty low budget but what do I know. I will definately go and watch.

Oh wow, that is awesome!!!! You have to watch it!! It's on Hulu so you can catch up on the first 2 episode. And it's supposed to look low budget. It's about a pretty trashy family, but it works. I hate using the word trashy, but that's the best I could come up with.
