Raise your hand if you bought tickets in bulk?

I am debating buying tickets in bulk...10 day hopper no expiration to use over a few trips. We live four hours away so we can do some shorter trips. Just wondering if this is smart?

We try to put part of our vacation budget for each trip towards tickets. that way we are done with the tickets we have we have cash to buy the new ones. we have some AP vouchers in reserve and some 10 day park hoppers partially used. IF we are planning enough trips during the year to make the AP worth it we use them if not we go to the 10 days. Obviously buying ahead save some money.

Seems like you could save some also. the only question I have is to look at your traveling habits to figure if AP's or MYW tkts work best. If we go one year late FEB we will try to do a early FEB or JAn the following year so we can get the most value from our AP's

The way I work my 10 day non-expires is this - if I am going for a short trip - say, 2 or 3 days at the park and staying offsite, I will use them. If I am going for an all-WDW week (or more) long vacation, I will buy tickets as part of my package. I am unwilling to spend the per-day cost of 2 or 3 days at the parks, so that's why I use the non-expire ones (that make it only $25 per day instead of a 3 day which is about $70 per day). But when I go for longer, it makes the per-day cost of the tickets much less - so I will buy them with my package if I go for, say, 7 days ($33 per day). So, to me - it all comes down to what I am willing to pay to go to a park per day.

However, if I lived a mere 4 hours away - I'm confident that my 10 day tickets would NOT last very long because I'd be there for so many weekends! :) As it is and being much farther away - mine last me for years.

Oh and if you buy the non-expire, I recommend the water park option if you like that type of thing - really brings the per-day cost down when you can go to a park for 20 days instead of 10 (10 days major parks 10 days minor ones).

We bought the 10-day, non-expiring park hopper w/ water park option for our December trip. This is the first time we've done this. We took advantage of a special price through Undercover Tourist just before the price increase last August. This seems like it will work for us, as we typically only go to Disney every 2-3 years, and usually not for an entire week.

Thanks yall! I defintely think we may do this...its not as committed as the AP. Our kids will be 4 and almost 2 our next trip and I think we will make some more frequent trips over the next two years. Now I just have to convince my hubby!:)

 Raising my hand!

We always buy the 10-day no expire hoppers w/extras feature. We only visit once every year or two so they last us quite a while. We always buy them right before the price increase.
