Raise your hand if you are NOT buying the annual pass!!

I bought a Gold pass voucher through AP Guest Retention, as soon as the parks reopened, which activated in November 2021 as a Sorcerer Pass, and I've kept that active,as I generally go to FL 2 to 3 times a year for 7 or 8 days each trip.

I may buy a NEW pass rather than a renewal, if they are still available at that time, as I really don;t liek my roll over month, it was activated on a special trip in a time of year I usually dont; travel.

I am going to do that as well if they are available in September still…that way I will be within my year window to activate It..and then I will have my fall start date back.

At this point I think I will buy two passes, one for DH and one for me. This past year we spent three weeks at WDW with no park passes and we had a really good time. It was very relaxing, no pressure to be anywhere and we spent much more time then usually at the pool. I really enjoyed our last trip, the first time ever that we didn't go into parks. For this reason, I'm still on the fence, should I buy or should I not?

When I consider the amount of time that rides are down, rides you can't get on because the wait times are so long or standing in those long lines, not to mention the crowds I'm not real thrilled with the idea of going into the parks. On the other hand, I miss the shops and the added dining options.

In the past we have always gotten two trips per 12-month period, so we got our money's worth when compared to day passes. Now we go for three weeks, and the staggering becomes a little more challenging for the time of year we like to travel. In the end I will probably be purchasing two passes, yes, it's a lot of money but if I do the math over 20+ days it's not so bad.
We started doing this as well. Just resort stays where we would go visit other resorts, ride the monorail, longer pool times, go to Disney Springs. That was enough "Disney magic" for us.

We also started heading over to Universal during our stays in DVC accommodations.

It was soooooooo much more relaxing that hustling to/from the parks and dealing with crowds and other issues.

Same here! Although instead of the monorail, I was riding the skyliner. Instead of an Annual Pass, I bought a refillable mug, now that they can be used at every resort, regardless os where you're staying. While staying at BCV, I used it at Riviera, Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness, Boardwalk Deli. Ale and Compass Marketplace, Pop Century, and of course, Beach Club Marketplace.

We used to go twice a year and the AP made a lot of sense for us. If we timed things well, we could get 3 trips out of it. Now, we are going once a year and the AP doesn't really make sense as we don't want to move next years trip up a week.

We bought resale but even if we had the blue perk we wouldn't buy an annual pass. We don't go often enough (usually every 18mo - 2 years).

Hand is down. Saw that Discover is giving 5% cash back on wholesale club purchases so went to Sams this morning to purchase Disney gift cards. With what was left over from previous gift card deals I have enough loaded on the card to buy the Sorcerer pass. Approx 4% discount from Sam's purchase and hopefully another 5% CB.

Guess what I'll be trying to do tomorrow.

We don't buy annual passes. For the time we spend at Disney versus the cost of passes, it's not a win for us so we've never bought them.

Me. We have decided we are resort people for now.
Same for us! We love just chilling at the resorts and resort hopping. I do wish I could pop into Epcot in the evenings for dinner but the value just isn't there for us a the moment and I'm not too sad about it.

I'm on the fence because we will and plan to travel down during holiday times so are forced to go for the incredi-pass or nothing. We considered doing a Sorcerer Pass and then paying per-day for the blockout dates, but financially it didn't make sense for us.

I want to justify the cost of the AP but

1. I only have resale so I am unable to purchase Sorcerer pass
2. Basic math show for 1 Day/1 Park pass in average I would need visit 9 park days to breakeven which means I would have to visit Disney at least 2 times a year for 4/5 days each and go to the park each day

The benefit would be I wont be obligated to stay at the park for full day as I have AP and probably feel better to go in/out of the park (plus park hop around).

I would purchase if AP allowed all park (including Disneyland) or if I lived closer but for now I will pass and see how things go.

Just waiting for my contract to close so I can visit the resorts

That $430 difference between Sorcerer and Incredi is pretty big and changes the equation a lot.

I'm really hoping in the future Disney will allow non blue card holder to at least buy Sorcerer Pass.. (maybe give blue card holder discounts as a incentive) or even allow DVC Resale holder to pay for the blue card features (Just want to get up to the lounges!!)

That is something I do not see…they started this process 7 years ago of membership extras being for only those with direct points.

Of course, you can pay for them…just got to buy 150 direct…lol...but I know what you mean,

The fact that they lowered minimum buy in to 100 points for new owners, but didn’t for the Dis ou nts is a big clue they don’t plan on reversing course.

not buying an AP.. :(
The dollars just didn't work out for an out of stater like me.

No AP's for us. Since we enjoyed the past 20 years of free Fastpass, we have decided to no longer go to the parks and pay big bucks for something that used to be free. So we're very much enjoying the resorts now and loving it.

Our current APs are due for renewal in August, we have one more trip planned next month to decide if they are worth it any more with the introduction of Genie+ and ILL$.
🤷🏻‍♂️

thank you Disney these prices are incredible so we WILL NOT be buying AP's anymore.
Sorry, by incredible I mean (ridiculous ) and then pay again for some of the better rides. Bull

This is what we do and love the slower pace.
