Rainy days

The rain seems to come down hard and end fairly quickly. While at MK, we visited Mickey's Country house and saw him in the Judge's Tent, we browsed the stores.

At MGM, you can go to the shows. Epcot has lots of indoor attractions. Luckily, it hasn't rained when we were at Animal Kingdom.

Swear. ;)

No, seriously, if you've seen my rain thread, you'll see why I'm a little sick of rain at WDW, but...

We tend to go back to the hotel room, chill out, watch some TV, take a nap, or hang out at the food court. Anything to not be trudging through puddles. :teeth:

Well, I must be weird, but I almost like it when it rains. The parks clear out a little and you can hit the things you want to. Most FL rain lasts a short time. We just put on our ponchos and keep going.

go to DTD or stay in the parks. if it storms we go back to the room I don't want to be struck by lighting.

put our ponchos on and head to MGM or MK. The crowds are low and there are still plenty of indoor rides/shows to see.

The only places I avoid is AK or Epcot

Sometimes we hit Downtown Disney, but it's always packed there on rainy days. Or we just hang at the resort and relax. But rainy days are great days in the parks. Grab some ponchos and enjoy an empty park! :thumbsup2

I agree. Plus, it cools you off!

Run, run, run as fast as you can to the nearest park, or walk. The parks empty out so quick when it rains. The rain usually does not last long. Put on a poncho and take advantage of shorter lines.

We either don our ponchos and head out to the parks.......dine/shop at the various resorts.....or, if it's warm, head to the water parks (as long as there is no lightening). The water parks can be the best places to be in the rain. You're in your bathing suit so it doesn't matter if you get wet. It completely empties out as well ! Uh-oh...shouldn't have let that cat outta the bag :ssst:

I agree and no SPF 50 to apply to every part of the body every 2 hrs :cool1:

The rainy days were the best days of our vacation!! No crowds in MK. We walked onto rides from 7-10am and it was the week of Easter. My avatar is a picture of my kids in front of the castle with no one else in sight. This was on a rainy day a few days before Easter.

Put on your Dollar Store poncho and continue you on your merry way! :thumbsup2
D.D.

Last year in Oct, it rained almost everyday of our week....we just pulled out the ponchos and did whatever we had on our schedule...never changed one single plan!!! ;)

As someone who has been to Disney during 3 hurricanes.... you put on one of the numerouse ponchose you own (yes, believe it or not, sometimes I forget to pack them, and have to buy new ones). I now bring them all, just in case one of them rips.

We also own, Universal and Seaworld ponchos! LOL

As long as the weather is warm, put on your shorts, t-shirt (Not white), or wear your bathinsuit too. Wear water shoes or sandels, they are better than squishing around in wet sneakers!

You also don't mind getting wet on SPLASH MOUNTAIN!!!

We go to Epcot. Most of the rides and lines are inside. Plus they have innovations which can keep everyone dry and entertained until the rain lets up!

We just bought .99 ponchos at Target. I just hope one of them is big enough to cover our stroller since we just keep on moving in the rain!

We have a double stroller and cover it with a large poncho. It works just fine. Remember to fold the head covering over though so the rain doesn't leak in.:teeth:

Throw on a 2/$1 Dollar Tree poncho and keep moving! I don't let the rain stop me. There is still a lot to see and do. Maggie
