Any chance Disney would refund or give us back our daypass on an extremely rainy day? It’s been horrible. We can’t even get from one pavilion for to another? We have ponchos, but we are all still soaked. Our fastpass got cancelled. We have to leave, my kids are going to get sick.

they do not have a rainy day policy like water parks and Sea World have but you can always try by going to guest relations before you leave the park

Rain and cold weather do not make people sick, FYI.

What do you mean you can't get from one pavilion to another? I'm sorry the weather is bad, but I don't see how that would stop you from walking around.

Which fastpass was cancelled? Did they give you an anytime FP to use?

I had similar questions - we are often there in the fall rainy season. It’s probablh a little colder today than the rainy days I am used to but I think that there are some options.

You said pavilions - are you in Epcot? What are the things you wanted to do that you couldn’t? Test Track is the only thing I would expect to close but they should have given you an anytime FP to use elsewhere?

You can certainly stop at guest services - I wouldn’t expect a full refund but you might be able to get extra FP or hopping added for another day to try to make up for it?

Not only do rain and cold not make you sick, studies have shown that short bursts of extreme cold actually boost the immune system.
I once heard a doctor that hosts a nationwide talk show tell a story of how he explained this to his mother and she told him to "put his coat on anyway!" :)

We were in HS today from 9am till 1:30. We enjoyed four rides and lunch at Sci Fi.
We stayed dry with rain jackets with Disney ponchos over them. We Had fun. We made the best of it. It will be sunny tomorrow.

I'm sorry you have to leave. I'm not sure why you didn't get an anytime FP for the one that cancelled, that's what is supposed to happen. I'd go to guest services to at least get that. I doubt a refund would happen as Disney doesn't do that.

Aren't you a FL resident? Is your trip over today or do you have some days left? Tomorrow and the next day is supposed to be sunny. Do you live close enough where you can visit again to make up the day you lost if this is it for you today?

Which FP was cancelled? I agree it’s pretty miserable but we got all of our FPs done today plus more. I changed my dessert party res from tonight to later in the week though bc I don’t want to go back out in this!

Ugh! Sorry to hear the weather is that bad. I think Disney should have a rainy day policy. You can go ask and hope for something to make up for the yucky day.

And what would the rainy day policy include or be for? Sometimes it rains all day, sometimes only for 20 minutes. Logistically it wouldn't work. Now a hurricane or something extreme like that is different and Disney does do things for that but just a rainy day does not warrant a refund in my opinion.

Oh, no, you don't. Not really.

I mean, think about it. What percentage of the day raining would initiate the policy? How would they handle restitution? Do you realize how many days of the year it rains in Orlando??

Yes I know it rains a lot at Disney. I was just saying that out of compassion because I have been in that situation before.

So have many other people.
I was caught in torrential downpours in Animal Kingdom in September with my 7 year old. We put a smile on our faces and went we aren't made of sugar and won't melt. We enjoyed it and when we felt we were wet enough we went back to our room and had pizza and a movie night inside.
You just have to make the best of it.
