Rainforest -what is this??

Order it ahead of time. Day passes *do* sell out, but you can use your pre-ordered pass whenever you want to.

I did the length of stay with scrubs on the 5 day Dream. I did not use scrubs 2 days - even though I used the showers and tile loungers every day. On our last night, there was a bag in our stateroom from Senses with 3 jarred scrubs and sponges (loufa's) in it. I was surprised by this. I actually used the loungers every day....several times a day. This will be a must do for me from now on!!
Thanks for posting the video...gave me a sense of calm for a few minutes here at work!!

To answer the question: who/why would anyone buy a length of cruise pass...

1) During both Alaska cruises I went daily- between the loungers and steam rooms I warmed my thin blooded Fl self!

2) On a weeklong cruise with only DD I went daily since she was either still asleep in the am or out and about without me. Also the windows/view helped the claustrophobia since we were in an inside room (never again!!).

3) In January I had terrible allergies (who knows what was blooming?) and went daily to help breathe...something about the steam and heat made it easier for me (I guess like when I was young and mom would use a humidifier...but much nicer and with better views!).

I hate the spa upsell after a treatment, so this is a nice, relaxing experience without the hard sell...I now do the Rainforest Room in lieu of the other spa treatments.

Enjoy, allergies are acting up and wish I were there now :)

Definitely looking at doing this with my DH on our next cruise...will be a nice break from the teenagers!

What is the rainforest room and experience like on the Wonder? I've seen photos and it doesn't seem as glamourous/relaxing as on the Fantasy.
As Aby mentioned, the Rainforest rooms on the classic ships are interior rooms and thus have no view of the outside. There are a couple of keys things to mention - the tiles loungers in the classic ships are located in the main "atrium" of the Rainforest room but tend to be fairly quiet. No one there seem to talk much since it is dark and very serene. The loungers are tiles all over and curved so that laying on them fit a bit more naturally than those on the Dream class ships. I am 5'3" and the loungers on the Dream ships are not a good fit for me - I seem to slide down when I lay on them. The second thing to mention is that the loungers on the Dream class ships are located in a room between the showers/saunas and the hot tubs. The rooms are separated by sliding glass doors and are light and bright. They have a good view of the outside. What I didn't love was that people tended to talk more (and more loudly) in the Dream class lounger area - may be because it was so bright? It was not as relaxing. The other thing was that the lounge area was a bit noisy since traffic to the hot tub runs right though the lounge area and you keep hearing talking from the hot tubs and the sound of the the sliding glass doors. Either way, they are great places to have some down time. We bought the length of cruise pass on the Alaskan, PC, TA cruises and felt it was worth it. On the Caribbean and Bahamian cruises, the day passes would have been better since we didn't use the Rainforest room as much. HTH.

Is the Rainforest on the Magic similar to the Wonder?
Are there hair dryers available?
Do you take soap/shampoo from your stateroom or are they provided in the Rainforest? (Extra charge?)
Which is best--pre-ordering a day pass or purchasing once we board? Plan on visiting twice.
Thanks for your answers!

I see where you can order the day passes ahead of time...is that option available for length of cruise pass? And does anyone know what is the price for a Length of cruise pass for a 7 day? Do you get a discount from the $16 a day rate?

The Rainforest room on the Magic had some slight cosmetic updating but is essentially the same as the Wonder. There are hair dryers, Elemis lotion, facial wash, shampoo and conditioner available for use free of charge in the locker room. The day pass purchased on line is essentially the same cost as the one on the ship. For fuller cruisers, a day pass may not be available on board. I would recommend purchasing online if you want passes for less than the length of your cruise. They will show up in your stateroom the first day and they are turned in like a voucher at the spa. They are not linked to a name so any adult can use them if you wish to give them to someone else on that same cruise.

There is not the option of preordering a length of cruise pass. There are two prices for the length of cruise pass :
$193 for a couple (7 days)
$144 for a single (7 days)
$144 for a couple (4 days)
$101 for a single (4 days)
$102 for a couple (3 days)*
$69 for a single (3 days)*

* denotes a deluxe pass which includes the scrubs and a small loofah pad
Sorry, I can't locate the price sheet for the deluxe 7 day pass but this is usually about $20 more.

Note that the couple pass can be shared with someone not in your stateroom although the charge goes to one stateroom account. Eg, I split a pass with my mother who was in a different stateroom and had a different account.

Do they have robes to wear in there or should you bring the one from your stateroom?

There are robes and slippers (rubber) in the locker room. Everyone 18 and over can use the showers in the locker rooms. Soap, shampoo, conditioner and other amenities are included in the locker / shower rooms.

You do not use soaps / shampoo in the Rainforest Room.

I think those 7 day prices might be for the deluxe pass, but am not sure. (reference: 7 days * $16 single day passes only = $112)

We sailed back to back cruises on the Dream Dec 11-14 and Dec 14-18 2015.

I took a picture of the Rainforest Room length of cruise passes sign in the spa on the first day of each cruise. Here is the info from the signs (first part on both signs is the same; only difference are the pricing lines):

Rainforest

Tropic Showers,
Warm Ceramic Loungers,
Steam Hamam, Warm Sauna,
& Traditional Steam Room

3 Day Singles Cruise Pass - $42
3 Day Singles Deluxe Pass - $69
3 Day Couples Cruise Pass - $75
3 Day Couples Deluxe Pass - $102

====

4 Day Singles Cruise Pass - $56
4 Day Singles Deluxe Pass - $101
4 Day Couples Cruise Pass - $99
4 Day Couples Deluxe Pass - $144

=====

The Deluxe passes include scrubs, the other passes do not. There is an additional 18% automatic gratuity added to the above costs.

Although my sister did not want to use the RR during our B2B, on our previous cruise on the Fantasy we got a Couples pass for the two of us. For that 7 day, the prices were aas above and scrubs were included (indicating it is a deluxe pass) which we never took. I didn't see any signage re: a non-deluxe pass and did not know enough at the time to ask.

Has anyone asked about the pricing of deluxe (includes scrubs) vs non-deluxe (no scrubs) length of cruise passes for the 7 day cruises ??

Thank you! Those prices would make sense that they are the deluxe passes. And thank you for mentioning the gratuity add on.

If you do the 7 day length of cruise deluxe, do they give you new scrubs each day? How does that work?

We've only done the regular (non-deluxe) before.

Yes. You just have to ask at the front desk when you get your bracelet.
