Rainforest -what is this??

Are there only 2 hot tubs? How hard is it to get one of these and do you have a time limit?

Yes, on the Fantasy there are only 2 hot tubs. We tended to go during off peak times - early morning, port days, etc, so it was never hard to get one. They ask that you only use for 15 minutes if there are people waiting but I never really saw it enforced. We just tried to keep an eye out if anyone seemed to be looking to use them if we were in longer than that.

Sometimes there is a wait. But, most people are in there to relax and the wait usually is not long.

I love the rainforest room, most especially the heated tiles. So relaxing, and a great way to get rid of aches and pains. I wish I could have one at home !

I get a length of cruise pass for myself. I use it every day, even if just for 20 or 30 minutes. To be honest, I almost exclusively use it for the heated tile chairs, though occasionally will use the hot tub and once tried the showers. I asked, and was told if I was only using the lungers it was ok to wear clothes instead of a bathing suit -- so I would often wear just comfy loose cotton knit pants and a top (plus I lay a towel down under me) -- much more convenient especially to just pop in for 30 minutes, no changing and such needed.

The times I went the RR often had nobody else in it, or just one or two people. Usually there was nobody in the hot tubs. I would bring my tablet, claim a heated lounger and read or just lay and relax for the time I spent, setting a timer if I had somewhere I wanted to be.

Can anyone say what the rainforest room is like on the Magic (I am assuming there is one)

We had late seating and had seen the shows already so, we went at 5:30 ish every evening and had plenty of time to get ready for dinner. Our next cruise is a 4 nighter to the Bahamas (it will be our 8th) and I will probably get the pass for all days again. We have late dinner again and have been to the Bahamas 2 times already, so the goal is to just stay on the ship and beat our Aquaduck record. :)

To reserve a day pass, you have to call DCL to book this. It actually comes out to exactly $18.88 with tax/tip per day and is a much cheaper option compared to booking on the first day once on the ship. They only issue so many passes per day to prevent overcrowding. IMO, it's totally worth it and a must-do every cruise. When you book in advance, the scrubs are NOT included and can only be purchased when you check in at Senses. After my first cruise, I always bring my own scrub and have had no issues doing that. It's sooooo relaxing

For those curious: The scrubs were $9 each at the check-in counter on the Dream this February. We didn't use ours up, so we put it in a plastic water bottle and brought it home.

Do you schedule a time to go in advance? Is it crowded, or do you ever feel like you have to wait your turn to use certain areas?

I've never had to wait my turn, nor has my wife. She gets a length-of-cruise pass every time.

To answer an earlier question, the Rainforest Room is 18+. Adults only. Edit: I see this was answered earlier and I missed it.

Question about the day pass-can you use it multiple times in one day or is just a one time use that day?

You can use it from open to close as many times as you want. They put a sticker on the back of your ID card. I think for the Dream it was 8am-10pm

That's what I thought I had read. Thanks!

Is there a rainforest room on all of the ships? We are on the Magic in April and I would love this

Yes, it is on all ships.

It is so relaxing just to be able to drop in and spend some time there every day, sometimes more than once a day. I like the pass for the entire cruise, so I can just drop in whenever. It is especially great if the weather isn't great. We cruised in December last year and we had some cloudy and rainy days, so my sister in law and I spent a lot of time in the rainforest room. Heaven.

Is the one day Rainforest Room pass something you book in advance at the same time as excursions, or is there a different timeline? When should I try to book it? It sounds awesome! (First cruise - so still trying to learn the ropes!)
