Rainforest Cafe

I think RFC is a lot like Planet Hollywood - it's a tourist draw due to the theming. I've eaten at several of both, not just as Disney but other places, and have never been impressed with food or service - you go for environment and theming usually. They're both overpriced, too. But they are fun if you have kids, or want something different for a birthday or something.

You're not alone =)

We've had mostly good experiences with RFC. We've eaten at both locations in WDW too. The one thing that none of us thought were very good was the children's chicken strips (they were dino shaped), just not very good at all. Things that we really like there are the potroast, chicken quesidillas, the cobb salad is my very favorite, and even the burgers are good to us. Sorry you've had bad luck. We agree that the service can be slow, but it's usually a mid-day break for us in the summer and we just sit and relax for the almost 2 hours in the air conditioning.

We've dined at RFC twice at DTD and AK and we we're happy with food quality and service. The portions were huge, that said it doesn't mean you are wrong. We've ate at Alfredo's 4 times and hate it,many and I mean many others love it.You just have to give your honest opinions on food and service and let the chips fall where they fall. :goodvibes :wizard: :earsboy:

We have eaten at RFC at AK and Las Vegas. I agree that service is slow. The food has always been good at both places. I agree it's a tourist attraction. I joined the Safari club last year, but due to problems with our trip, did not get to use it at Disney. Will try again in December!

We love the RFC atmosphere but every time we have given it a try both in WDW and other locations closer to home, we are disappointed in the food. The only thing we ever enjoy is the desserts. We decided to stop wasting our money there and choose a better restaurant.

I was ALWAYS nervous about going to RF. After we did it at AK for the first time, we are hooked. We stay to the basics and do a lot of meal sharing. The portions are large and very good to us. The wraps they had were very good last trip. The store and check-in is a little over the top, but worth it for us. We just waited outside and rotated wandering the front of the ak entrance shops and character photos.

The family typically schedules one meal there, not because I like it. The first couple of times we went, I ordered a steak, which is not one of their specialties. Last may we went and I had some kind of pasta dish, it was OK, but I would still prefer a chunk of beef that has been passed over a flame.
I would probably give it a 2 of 5 stars. If it weren't for the $25 or $50 gift cards that we earned through mypoints, I wouldn't want to go.

Guess I am the only one...lol...but I LOVE RFC. We always get the chicken qusidilla's for an appatizer, and then I uually always get the chicken fried chicken, and it has always been awesome!!! :flower:
