We are planning a trip to hit both Disneyland and Disneyworld and were wondering if it would be better to eat at Rainforest Cafe near DISNEYLAND or at either venue at Disneyworld. Has anyone sampled both? Which has the better atmosphere? Thanks.
We've eaten at both. I preferred the DTD location better. Food is the same, as is the decor, but the ambience seemed "different" to me. I also thought the wait staff was a bit more courteous at the DTD location. It can get a little crazy waiting outside for a table, but we have fun watching the exotic birds interact with the guests. When the kids are elsewhere, the bar is a hoot!
I think both DTD and the AK Rainforest's are excellent places to go and I don't think there is much to choose between their food or ambiance.
In general there is MUCH less wait time at the AK one in the late afternoon/early evenings, maybe slightly more wait time for lunch. If you plan any shopping, in my experience the shop at AK has better bargains, maybe it's sales racks don't get quite as much traffic as the DTD shop.
RF Cafe is a chain restaurant, I have been to and eaten at several and they all seem the same to me. I would eat at whatever one fits into your schedule the best =)
The Unofficial guide says that the site in Disneyland had a much bigger budget than their usual restaurant in their chain, so I think I have decided to try that one. Besides, there seem to be less dining choices at Disneyland overall.
We've eaten at Rainforest cafe on both of our trips to Disneyland and had a great time. You are definately correct about less choices. Then when you are at WDW you can go somewhere that DL doesn't have.
