I have a question about using the Safari Club card at the Downtown Disney Rainforest Cafe. Has anybody used it to get priority seating? If you did, did you get seated quicker? We will be getting to Downtown Disney after flying in around lunch time and heard the waits are long, so I was hoping having the card would help. Thanks in advance.

The SC allows you to get right in line when you walk up to the host kiosk. You can avoid significant waits but does not always get you a table immediately, e.g. we were there earlier this month. We walked up, showed our SC card, and got in the line inside the restaurant to be seated. We waited 10-15 minutes. However, we heard the people at the kiosk in front of us told that the wait would be 45-60 mintues for them.

Yep... we have used the card several times at both locations and have always been seated within 10 minutes (even if the wait was 2+ hours!!!)

Can you buy your Safari Club Membeship at the time and still get the benefits, or does it have to be purchased before hand? It looks like a good deal to me, and I was planning to eat At RFC when I go in August, but I live outside the US and that is always a mailing problem.

i have the safari club membership (signed up for it last july 2002) & yesterday received a $5.00 "anniversary" certificate! and now today, i received a $5.00 "birthday" certificate!

getting the safari club card was well worth it - we'll be using these certificates next month at the RFC in DTD!

WE HAVE HAD THIS CARD FOR ALMOST ACOUPLE YEARS NOW. WE DO GET SEATED SOONER AND ITS VERY WORTH THE PRICE. WE EAT THERE 3 TIMES A TRIP, LOL, MY HUSBAND LOVES THE JAMBALAYA. WE ALSO HAVE ONE NOT TO FAR AWAY IN GURNEE, ILL.
