We were there in October and quite frankly we had to send several featured meals back. It honestly wasn't very good. I love the atmosphere so we'll go back for appetizers and drinks but that's probably it.

I must say I agree with tis asessment. I think The Rainforest Cafe is probably the neatest establishment at DD for it's great exterior theming but inside it is just fantastic with the jungle theming and that amazing fish tank!
That said, I just think the food and service is sub-par, even for Disney Resort standards. I will go in to see the fish tank but I just can't bring myself to eat there anymore after a couple sub-par experiences.

Convince me different; what is really good IYO? I'll go check it out on your recommendation.

We're vegetarian, and have enjoyed each of the veggie items we've eaten there. We also really enjoyed their enormous plate of nachos, without the meat of course.

We try to not go when already hungry, b/c they are so busy and things move slowly. We have also had better luck with DS being relaxed when we sit closer to the front. He gets a bit overwhelmed with the sound when we are further into the restaurant, and, frankly, so do I!

Well we normally have the crab dip and then share Maya's combo, I've also had just the chicken from Maya's combo (only when very hungry as you get 2 chicken breasts!!!!) and it was very good. I'll have to look at the menu when I get home (and find the time ) and let you know what else I've enjoyed. I won't lie, there have been a couple dishes I wasn't impressed with but we still go back.
