Can ADR's be made for the Rainforest Cafe either in AK or DTD?

Thanks for your help! :)

You can call disney dining and make an ADR for Rianforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom. You have to call Rainforest Cafe at DTD directly and you can make a PS there. I did that yesterday for the one at DTD. :)

Thank you for the response! I put that on my list of possible places to eat on our next trip, but I wasn't sure if we'd be able to make ADR's. So if we decide to go to the one at AK I can give it to the TA to make our reservations. :)

Thanks again!!

How far in advance will they take a reservation? :confused3 We aren't going till December and I thought I could make ADR, the CM I called said only at AK, DTD is separate, but she didn't say I can call them directly and make a reservation...
Jasminetigger- what # did you call for DTD Rainforest Cafe?

I know on Allearsnet.com they have the menu for Rainforest Cafe and they list the phone # for the DTD restaurant. I'd give them a call and see what they say, I don't know how far out that one takes ADR's.

I just have to put my two cents in here, hopefully it will have some impact as I am NEVER going to any Rainforest Cafe ever again!

Last July I had a PS (Priority Seating) reservation at Rainforest Cafe in DTD for dinner (around 8pm). I checked in at the elephant and was told that we had to wait a little, no big deal. About an hour later I went to the host and politely asked if my table would be ready soon, as I had made a PS in advance. He apologized and told me it shouldn't be much longer. Another hour later, I went back, still polite as can be and asked again. This time he swore to me that it wouldn't be much longer. 30 min later we were finally called, brought to another waiting area, waited another 10 min and then was finally noticed by another host. He then looked at us and said 'oh' and proceeded to have two bus boys place a table in front of the entrance to the bathroom (I SWEAR) and add two chairs. The manager then came over to us and seated us and told us our waitress will be right over to 'take care of us'. At that point I thought, OK we are going to get free drinks, or a free dessert, or something. After everything was said and done we got nothing comped, and in my opinion I didn't think the food was that great either...

Do not waste your time or money. Rainforest is a chain restaurant and doesn't have much of a Disney feel to it anyways. I say eat at one of the other great DTD Restaurants. Even though this is a CS, Earl of Sandwich was one of my favorite eateries! And it is easy on the wallet too!

I've never been to a Rainforest Cafe and I think I would like the atmosphere for our 2 children: 4 and 2, the menu prices seem high but IF I GOT A GIFT CARD WORTH $25: FREE, :rolleyes1 would it then maybe be worth a shot? My husband is not a patient man and IF we had to wait a hour+ with reservations and was done like the last post- he would go through the roof! :furious:
I have read so many bad posts about the service and seating that I really would rather not put my family through a bad start to our GREAT vacation plans....what to do, what to do :confused3 .....I don't want to jinkix myself, but I want everything to fall into place with some pixie dust.... :wizard: :stir:

A few years ago I found out you would be put in a very short waiting list if you were a member of their RFC club (not sure right now what it is called). I paid my $15 to sign up and it worked like a charm. The first time I used it, we only had to wait 30 min vs the 3 hr wait that everyone else who was not a member had. This is a life-time membership and it entitles you to also get a % off your food or a free appetizer plus (I think) 10% off in the gift shop.

I just take the card with me every year and it has worked just as they said it would.

Just my two cents for those who don't like waiting!

We went to the one at AK last year and had a great time. The food was good and DS loved the environment. We didnt wait 10 minutes for our table. We are going back this trip!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

The number for the one at DTD is 407-827-8500. :)

I joined the Rainforest Cafe Club and make a reservation. It has never been more than a 30 minute. We have never tried the DTD Rainforest though just the AK and Disneyland.

All three of our kids look forward to going and have their favorites on the menu. The food is so so but we like the atmosphere. :wave2:

1) NEVER had more than a 10-minute wait.
2) Regardless of the line outside - even long ones.
3) The "Safari Club" card gets you the next available table.
4) Sure were lot of upset folks when we walked right by them.

We've been to Rainforest Cafe numerous times. We always go to the one in AK though because the one in DTD is busy all of the time! We love RC and it feels like Disney to me because of the themeing. We've never had to wait very long and the food has always been yummy to us. We've been to the one in DC for my Dad's B-Day (he wanted something that reminded him of Disney). That place is horrible! The one at AK is worlds away from other RC's, in my opinion.

try it out! we always go, and have never waiting longer than 15 min when we had ADR's and have always had a great time. I think bad reviews stick out in ppl's minds more than the good ones, so people think they made a bad choice when they read a bad review. There are bad reviews on every restaurant on the Disney property. So I say, go for it and have a great time! :cheer2:

We might want to eat there for breakfast before our AK day. Do you think we would need ADR's or is breakfast not normally crowded? Their breakfast menu sounds yummy. Does anyone know what time they open? I'd like to get there early before the park opens. Thanks!

I tried making ADR's for breakfast at the AK one at my 180 day mark and I was told she didn't have it available. :confused3 I asked when I could make ADR's for there and she didn't know. She was difficult to understand and I kept having to spell things to her so she could understand me. I would also like to know how many day's out you can make ADR's for here.

I don't have a club card and my family has never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes at the Rainforest at Animal Kingdom. Everytime we go to Disney we eat at Rainforest, my daughters love it.

I would try again. I called last night and made dinner ADR's for Saturday, November 25th at RC in AK. The CM on the phone kept making sure I wanted the one in AK and not the one in DTD.

I have to put my 2 cents in here. First off, sorry about your bad experience. There's no doubt - Rainforest tends to have it's problems with wait times and getting it right. I've had my share of issues at the one in Burlington, MA near where I live.

That being said, I haven't ever had a problem with the one at DTD. Also, I have a Safari Club membership which always gets you priority seating.

Also, I think if you've never been to a Rainforest, you should try it. It, to say the least, has a VERY Disney feel to it. Such a great atmosphere. The food, though not SPECTACULAR, is far better than many other restaurants. Also, the Volcano dessert is AWESOME!

Not everyone is going to have that membership, and I was responding to the OP who seemed as if they did not have that membership.

I really honestly think that Rainforest Cafe gave us horrible service, and probably not just us either. There were MANY unhappy faces that night in a similar situation to us. OK, so maybe they were having a bad day, but I am not going to keep my mouth shut if a fellow DISer wants an opinion on the restaurant!

Been to many. We used to have one in the mall near me and it closed down...gee I wonder why...
