No problem. We always go to Rainforest in AK. We also always have an ADR, because its just safer. We have never had to wait an extremely long time but i would think if you tried to walk in, you might have an extended wait. I would guess that would be less the case at DS, because there is just such an abundance of dining options there, but in AK there arent a ton of viable dining for TS, especially ones that are appealing to small children. I would try to get a res if i could, in an effort not to waste valuable park time on a long wait, or even having to choose a CS instead because they turn you away. Like a PP said, you can always call direct i think, if you dont want to have the CC guarantee.
If we dont count a potential wait time for a table, I would expect roughly an hour to eat. I remember in 2016 when we ate there last, thinking i was surprised it had taken less than an hour for our meal. However, it was a monsoon outside and the park was dead when we got out so i would still expect the full 60 minutes.
If you have a Landry’s card you will get the next available table, even before ADR’s. It is $25, but you get that back the first time you use it. It is also good at Yak and Yeti at AK.
