We have done both of these restaurants a few times in WDW and we love them, so we are tempted to do them in July while visiting DL. My question is are they exactly the same (as far as decor and atmosphere)? Should we do different restaurants for a new experience instead? Can you make PS reservations for these restaurants or are they walk ups?

You can make a ressie at RFC but I've never done it, we joined the Safari Club so we don't usually have to wait that long. But yes, ressies can be made there. I don't know about the HOB, we've had recent reports that say if you have a party of 6 or more they won't even seat you so I don't know....as for decor, I'm assuming that every RFC is the same but don't have any personal experience with that. We only eat at the Anaheim RFC.

You could try Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, they have GOOOOOD food.......

I know there are differences between our "local" RFC and Anaheim's...2 floors in Anaheim, bigger aquarium, many many more animatronic animals in Anaheim. DS could'nt stand the local one but likes the Anaheim one (though it's very likely that just getting older helped with that).

I will start out by saying that I don't care for RFC, just wanted to be honest. But I feel like if you've been to one, you've pretty much been to them all. Even though I don't like it, I tend to travel with people who do, so I've been to a lot of them. But if you know you like it and want something familiar, then go for it.

I haven't been to the HOB in Orlando so I can't comment on whether it would feel the same or not. I have been able to make ressies for HOB in Anahiem so I know they do take them.

I agree with giving Ralph Brennans a try though. It's my favorite Downtown Disney restuarant.

we will be doing the rainforest, but only for apitizers. we do not care for the food other wise but we do have to get those squishy frogs and lizzards for my kids. and my daughter gets a glow cup every time LOL! we will be doing the espn zone, that place looks fun . no house of blues this time, I had read they were rude and there for I am not going there.
