I heard there is 2 Rainforest cafes. Are they both the same? We went to the one in Atlantic City and loved it, so I really want my kids to expereince it too. I heard the one downtown is bigger but the one in AK would be more convientent for us, but I dont know if the bigger one is any better then the AK one. Thanks

Not sure if this matters, but I think the RFC at AK will take ADR while the one at DD will not.

The AK location is definately on the convenient side if at the park that day, as far as being different... not really too much.

We've eaten at both several times and the one at the Animal Kingdom IMO is a lot better! Both are VERY expensive though, especially for children!

Definitely agreeing on that one!

It's great to get there before the park opens and getting breakfast. Their eggs benedict is way good!

Our family has been to both of the Rainforst Cafes at Disney, and we feel that the one at AK is better.

we call RFC directly at DTD, and mention our safari club card - we make our reservation for lunch (or dinner) - upon arrival, we're seated immediately, like a "go to the head of the line" deal

They're both pretty much the same. I think the one at AK has a slightly better set-up. DTD's location isn't run well at all.

As for people saying they're expensive, nonsense. They are no more expensive (cheaper in fact) than most Disney sit down restaurants. Sorry, but if you want a $6 meal, go grab a burger and fries at one of the fast food joints.

A problem I find common to all Rainforest Cafe's is when they are busy, even as a Safari Club member, you still have to wait in a line. They call your name and tell you go stand in a line, where you could be for another 20-30 minutes. I don't understand why they do that. When you're holding little kids, it gets pretty tiresome after about 10 minutes.

We ate breakfast at the RFC at AK and it really was special! I ordered a juice concoction from the Mushroom bar called the Rainforest Rickey! It was wonderful!

We ate at the AK Rainforest Cafe during the Thanksgiving weekend..very busy time, for breakfast. We didn't find it expensive at all. No more than you would pay for any quality meal. The food was deliciousnad the atmosphere was great.which you already know.

We didn't have a wait at all. I called and made the ADR two days before with no trouble. This year we are trying them for a dinner.

My family prefers the DTD location and we've eaten there instead of the AK location for the last several years. We found the restaurant to be roomier and less rushed.

We eat at Rainforest Cafe every trip (I save up and redeem MyPoints points for gift cards so its like a free meal!). Anyway, we have tried both locations and they are similar enough for us that we choose whichever one fits the best with our plans and all of our experiences (thus far) have been positive!

The one at Downtown Disney is better by far. For some reason, the one at Animal Kingdom is sub par. Maybe because no ever goes there. It's kind of hidden. The couple of times I have gone there, we were one of the only people there. There were more employees there than guests

We tried them both a long time ago (pre DDP) and we found the food quality to be the same. However, we prefer to go to the AK it's perfect after a day at AK. I do believe that the one at DTD is larger, but I didn't find that it was quicker to get a table there versus the one at AK. Either one would be good.

Wow, I'm surprised at this because every time we go to the one in the AK it's PACKED to the rafters. We even had to stand in line (but that was before we got one of those cool member cards or whatever the hell they're called). Huh. Waddaya know.
