Rain...what is open/closed at MK?

It looks like rain for our MK days (this Thurs MNSSHP and Friday). What will be closed down because of rain? I know a lot of rides operate almost entirely inside so they should stay open, but what about things like Dumbo or Aladdin's Magic Carpets that are completely outside? Will parades and fireworks still happen in the rain? I'm bummed but willing to brave the rain if things will still be operating.

My experience is that most outdoor attractions will stay open for everything but heavy rain (which doesn't usually last that long).

I have experienced a Fantasmic cancellation. Most all amusement parks have lightening sensors. If they detect any electrical activity in the clouds, that changes everything. Fantasmic, I was told, is the most likely to be cancelled due to being outdoors on metal bleachers.

I think lightening is usually more of an issue than rain. I've been there during downpours and everything was working. Fantasmic was cancelled because of lightening in the area. Just throw on that poncho and make the best of it!

i posted on another thread earlier about how we went on BTMRR and it was raining so hard we couldnt keep our eyes open, once the lightning comes however thats it. They shut down. Saftey is #1... i assume lightning hurts....

I spent one rainy day at Disney years ago, everythign was open except Thunder mountain. We played Hide and Seek on Tom Sawyer Island all day.

One fun thing to do when it's raining in the MK is to ride the TTA around. You stay totally dry and you can usually stay on a few times in a row!

We rode Alladin's magic Carpets in the pouring rain. Actually pretty fun! The best thing was that most of the people left! And we had the place to ourselves (generally spkng). Then, when everyone came back, we went to our hotel and got dry clothes.

That is my sons favorite ride. He laughs so hard when he is on it. I have no idea why but he found it amusing when he was 4.
