Do you think it rains more in mid Sept. or early May?? I know you can't plan on weather but I'm just curious what other people who travel there more than I do have seen....I have been both in May and Sept but only once. Weather was perfect both times. But people have always told me it's a rainy time of year for both months..?

September is the height of hurricane season and historical weather data shows an average of 5.5" of rain for the month compared to 3" for May. I've been during both time frames and will say that I definitely found September to be rainier than May.

We were there for 10 days in Sept and it rained every day. Total downpour! But what a blast! Super short lines and they don't shut down any rides unless there is lightening.

Never went in September, Planning a trip right now for Sept 2015.

Went in May and the only time it rained was overnight. It never rained during the day. Which made the days super Hot and Sticky. Not that rain would've helped, but every morning we would wake up it would be wet outside.

we were there the first week in May. It was raining the day we arrived. It was more of a light mist in the air, but cleared up by the afternoon. Other than that it didn't rain the rest of our trip. We could of just lucked out, but the weather was just perfect!

We went sept 18-24 2011 and as I can recall it rained everyday for at least an hour in the afternoon. At least one day, I think the day we checked in, it rained/thunderstormed for most the day. Other than the pool being closed it didn't stop us from doing anything we wanted to, we just stuck to indoor rides during those times.

As a native Floridian, I will tell you plan for rain everyday.

But as we Floridians are fond of saying, if you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes.

I'm a bit south of Orlando, but the weather isn't really all that different. May and September are not all that different in terms of chances of rain. Humidity levels will be brutal in September so get a few of those misting fan thingys and a few ponchos and you'll be golden.

We use to travel to WDW the first week of Sept. Now we vacation the last of May. Both months are HOT!! I would have to say September has a tad more rain. We have never had more than a half day of rain and it never ruined any of our plans. Poncho up and carry on ! My personal choice would be May !

We've been several times in May and mid-September and it definitely rains more in September. It's usually only a brief shower throughout the afternoon, and it's never ruined our plans or anything. We still prefer September over May because MK is decorated for Halloween and MNSSHP is going on, too.

September is definitely the rainier month,I live in Florida so I know.May is actually more similar to October as they're both transitional months. The end of dry season ends in May,it could be early or late May as some years a good chunk of May is still pretty dry.October is also what I would consider transitional as the daily rain and somewhat cooler weather usually comes in between the middle and end of the month, the early part is still usually rainy.September is pretty much always a humid, rainy mess.As somebody else mentioned even that's not guaranteed you could get some nice days as well but generally speaking September is humid and rainy.I mean we're in the nicer months of the year right now and from Christmas through the first two weeks we had a lot of overcast and rainy days even though it's usually nice and sunny,so no guarantees ever in Florida.
